What is the attire for the Welcome Party?

Smart casual. Think polished but relaxed - dresses, skirts or stylish separates for women; trousers with a button down or polo for men.

When you arrive at Malverde, use the blue staircase to enter the venue from Guadalupe St. Elevator Access is also available on 2nd St. under the sign for the Violet Crown movie theater. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor, turn left when you exit, and enter Malverde from the back side of the venue.

Is there parking available at the Welcome Party?

Answer

While we recommend you walk or Uber to Malverde, there is a paid parking garage available. When you arrive, you can Park in the parking garage for the 2nd Street District (entrance is off of San Antonio between 2nd and 3rd). Park on the 2nd floor near where the movie posters are. Follow the sidewalk by the posters and turn left when you get to the patio. Enter the back side of Malverde using the wooden door.

Where should I eat before the Welcome Party?

Answer

Light snacks will be served at the welcome party but we recommend you take advantage of experiencing the Austin food scene before you arrive. Walking distance from Welcome Party: ATX Cocina; Uchibā; Peacock; Red Ash Close Uber to Welcome Party: Matts el Rancho; El Alma; Aba; Clarks Oyster Bar; Lin Asian Bar and Dim Sum; Elizabeth Street Cafe; Terry Blacks BBQ (cafeteria style)

Will transportation be provided on wedding day?

Answer

Yes, rideshare vouchers will be provided on our wedding website on the "Travel" page. If you provided your phone number as part of your RSVP you will also receive a text message with the rideshare voucher on wedding day. Valet parking is also available for guests who would prefer to drive to the venue.

Will the wedding be mostly indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour and seated dinner will be held outdoors. The average temperature on December 20th is a high of 63°F / low of 43°F. Please plan to bring a jacket or wrap for optimal comfort.

While we love kids, we’ve decided to have an adults-only celebration. Thank you for making arrangements.
