FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lauren Dierker and Daniel Navon
We're so excited to see you in Mexico City! If you have any questions about the wedding, travel, or Mexico City please read these FAQs or text us! We'd be more than happy to help.
Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Formal invitations with official RSVP details will be sent in early fall and online RSVPs will be opening soon. If you already know whether or not you'll be joining us, we’d love to hear from you sooner! Since this is a destination wedding, early RSVPs will be very helpful with planning! If you have any questions that might affect your RSVP, just let us know—we’d love to help. Our official RSVP deadline is January 2026, so there's still plenty of time!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is formal! We kindly ask that guests wear ankle-to-floor length dresses, formal separates, or suits and ties. Colors, patterns, and statement outfits are highly encouraged (but not required)! Please leave jeans, t-shirts, and sneakers at home, and as is tradition, reserve shades of white, cream, and ivory for the bride. Please note that the wedding will take place in a historic building. While everything will be indoors and on the (mostly flat) ground floor, there are a few steps and uneven areas—so plan your footwear accordingly. Mexico City evenings can also get chilly, so if you’re not planning to wear sleeves, we recommend bringing a wrap or an extra layer just in case.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

We love your kids, but we have decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event! We appreciate your understanding.

Question

Can I bring a Plus One?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to capacity restrictions, we cannot accommodate plus ones who are not specifically included on the invitation. Thanks so much for your understanding!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! Drinks are on us!

Question

What should I do if I have allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please include your allergies or dietary restrictions in your RSVP details so that we can work with our caterers to make accommodations. There will be vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten-free food available at all events. Please note, all events will have Kosher style food available (free of pork, shrimp, or dairy-meat combinations) but will not be Kosher-certified. If you have any specific concerns or questions, don't hesitate to reach out to us directly.

Question

Is the venue handicap accessible?

Answer

32 Prim is partially accessible. There are no steps required to enter the venue, and the wedding will take place entirely on the ground floor. The majority of the event—including the ceremony and reception—can be enjoyed without using stairs. However, please note that some areas of the venue can only be accessed via a short flight of stairs. Specifically, the restrooms require climbing 3 steps, and the cocktail lounge requires 6 steps. That said, the cocktail space is optional, there will be a bar and additional gathering areas available on the fully accessible ground floor. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns about accessibility. A quick note on Mexico City: like many international cities, accessibility standards may differ from those in the United States. Many buildings are older or historic and were not built with modern accessibility in mind. We recommend contacting any hotels, restaurants, or attractions directly if you have specific accessibility needs to help ensure a smooth and comfortable visit.

Question

What if I am unable to attend?

Answer

We know a destination wedding comes with a lot of logistics, and there are many reasons you may not be able to attend—whether it's timing, travel, school, family, or anything else. While you’ll absolutely be missed, we completely understand! If you’re unable to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no” so we can plan accordingly. If your plans change for any reason and you need to cancel, please keep us in the loop! We’re lucky to have a large and loving community, but due to capacity limits, we were unable to invite everyone we’d like to. If you RSVP “no” or need to cancel, your spot may be offered to another guest or used to extend a plus-one. We appreciate your consideration!

Question

How do I get around Mexico City?

Answer

We recommend using Uber/Lyft or walking to get around Mexico City—especially in the neighborhoods we suggest for your stay, which are safe and very walkable. Mexico City is quite large so when heading across the city or exploring less familiar areas, we recommend taking a car. As with any large city, be sure to account for traffic in your planning.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a hotel block at the Andaz Mexico City Condesa. More details on our hotel block and a link to book can be found in the "Travel" section of our website. We highly recommend staying in the Condesa, Roma Norte, or Juarez neighborhoods - this is where we will have our hotel block. These neighborhoods are charming, walkable, safe, and are close to our wedding venue! If the hotels blocks won't work for you, there are many hotels and airbnbs at a variety of price points in Condesa or Roma Norte to choose from. Please remember, Mexico City is quite large! There are many wonderful areas to stay in the city, but many will be far from our venue, especially during rush hour.

Question

What is the weather like in Mexico City?

Answer

March is a great time to visit Mexico City! The weather is mild, with daytime highs ranging from 75°F to 80°F (24°C to 26°C) and nighttime lows between 47°F and 51°F (8°C to 11°C). March is very dry so it's a good time for outdoor activities and sightseeing. We recommend packing layers, a light sweater or jacket for the evening, and comfortable walking shoes.

Question

How long should I stay in Mexico City?

Answer

As long as you’d like! Mexico City is a big city with endless things to see, eat, and explore—you could easily spend a week or longer here. We highly recommend extending your trip to experience the culture and history in and around the city. You’ll find some recommended activities and day trips listed under the "Things To Do" section on our website.

Question

Is there anything else I need to know about Mexico?

Answer

Yes! There are two important things to remember when traveling to Mexico. Mexico City sits in the Valley of Mexico at an altitude of 7,350 ft (2,240 meters). Some people may experience shortness of breath or dizziness when they first arrive and acclimate to the altitude. We recommend staying hydrated, taking it slow your first day, and bringing your inhaler if you have one (just in case). Altitude can also exacerbate the effects of alcohol - one drink can feel like two and two drinks can feel like four! Please drink responsibly and pace yourself! Secondly, the tap water in Mexico is not potable. We recommend drinking from water bottles or filtered water. Hotels should provide you with water and bodegas, groceries, and restaurants are an easy source of water wherever you go in the city.
