Diego transferred to UNC the summer before his sophomore year, not knowing that a simple night with friends would change his life forever. In November 2018, Diego and his roommates hosted a small kickback at their house in Greeley. That same evening, Allie and her friends were invited by one of Diego’s friends, who was talking to one of Allie’s at the time. It was a spontaneous decision to go, but fate often works through the unexpected. From the moment Allie walked in, she noticed Diego. He stood out to her immediately—there was something about his smile, his presence—and she quietly told her friends that she thought he was really cute. Her friends, being the wonderful matchmakers they are, let Diego in on the secret. With a little encouragement and a lot of curiosity, Diego called Allie over. They started talking... and they never really stopped. Just a few weeks later, they made things official. Since then, their journey has been filled with laughter, growth, and deep love.
