We’re getting married!!

We first met at ages 8 and 10 when we were attending the same middle school. Years later, we crossed paths again at an all-staff meeting for our church. As I was leaving the meeting, Diego accidentally ran into me because he was looking at his phone. He later told me that after bumping into me, he had to look back because he could hardly recognize me. I eventually returned to my seat, and Diego followed me on social media, sitting just six feet away. Later that day, he asked me out—and we’ve been inseparable ever since!

In July, surrounded by the beauty of Napa and both of our families, Diego gave me the surprise of a lifetime. I was told to be ready for a late lunch at 2:00, so when I was asked to be ready by 11:45, I didn’t think much of it. When the moment came, everyone gathered outside. Diego asked me to stand up and walked me over to a spot with soft grass and a stunning view. There, he shared a heartfelt speech that brought tears to my eyes before asking me the easiest question I’ve ever answered—if I would marry him.
