Old City
Grab a cheesesteak at Sonny's Famous Steaks (Josh's favorite cheesesteak) and see the Liberty Bell, Elfreth's Alley, and Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence was signed (and where Nicolas Cage found the glasses that showed him the map on the back of the Declaration of Independence). We lived around the corner from each other here at separate times before we met - we missed each other by one month.
The Franklin Fountain
Old fashioned ice cream shop - we went here on our first date!
Tattooed Mom
Our favorite place to get a cocktail and snacks!
Green Eggs Café
Josh's favorite brunch spot - he always gets the cookie dough french toast!
Silk City
Hannah's favorite brunch spot - she loves eating in their outdoor garden and she recommends everything on the menu!
Reading Terminal Market
A Philly institution, you can't go wrong with any of the food at Redding Terminal Market - we both love Beiler's Donuts!
Chinatown
One of our favorite places to go out to eat - Hannah swears by Dim Sum Garden (get the soup dumplings!) and Josh loves Ocean Harbor.
Emmy Squared: Queen Village, Philadelphia
Detroit-style square pizza - it's not deep-dish but it's Hannah's favorite pizza in the city.
Bok Bar
Repurposed trade school now home to restaurants, art spaces, and fun weekend activities. Great view of the city on the roofdeck - Hannah helped stain the bar before it opened!
Benjamin Franklin Parkway
From the Franklin Institute to the Art Museum, the Benjamin Franklin Parkway is home to a number of Philly institutions including the Rodin Museum, Mutter Museum, and Barnes Foundation.
Fairmount Park
The largest urban park in the US, Fairmount has a plethora of walking trails and hidden gems, including the famed boat house row, horticultural center and cherry blossom festival (where we went on our second date!).
Princeton, NJ
Josh's favorite town in New Jersey (minus the shore) - Nassau St has tons of shops and restaurants to explore. Josh recommends Taste of Mexico, Princeton Record Exchange, and The Bent Spoon!
