Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jenna Godsil and Sean Dickerson
We're excited to share our favorite places and things to do around Mt Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, and Portland. Whether you plan to squeeze in a short hike in, or stay and explore for a few days we have some great options for you!
Trillium Lake Loop

Trillium Lake Loop

Stay and play around Trillium Lake to discover why we love it so much we decided to get hitched here. Take the 2 mile easy walk around the lake trail, have a picnic, or rent a kayak from Mt Hood Outfitters stationed onsite.

Mt Hood Brewing Co

Mt Hood Brewing Co

Visit this essential establishment in Government Camp supplying thirsty skiers & hikers with cold refreshing brews.

Tamanawas Falls Trail

Tamanawas Falls Trail

Take a hike! Find the Tamanawas Falls trail head just a short drive from Government Camp. This is a moderate 3.5 mile out and back hike along a stream to a gorgeous waterfall. Climb up over rocks to walk behind the waterfall and feel the spray.

The Gorge White House

The Gorge White House

Stop by The Gorge White House (you can't miss it!) for some delicious cider as you make your way from Mt. Hood to Hood River. On a clear day this spot boasts spectacular views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams. Grab a picnic table & a flight of ciders, relax, and enjoy the views on the farm!

Dog Mountain Trailhead

Dog Mountain Trailhead

Looking for a more challenging hike? Dog Mountain is a favorite of ours that will surely get you sweating! Park at the trailhead on the Washington side of the Columbia river and prepare for a grueling 6.5 mile hike with 3K ft elevation gain. Pack some extra water (or a beer) and a snack to enjoy at the top, trust us, the views are worth it!

Double Mountain Brewery

Double Mountain Brewery

Hood River, OR

Once you're in Hood River you have to go to Double Mountain for some amazing wood fired pizza and beer! We recommend the heirloom tomato & the truffle shuffle pizzas. Walk it off down to the Hood River watefront where you can watch the wind surfers, go for another beer at Pfriem or Ferment, or grab a latte at Stoked Coffee Roasters.

Wahclella Falls Trailhead

Wahclella Falls Trailhead

Making your way from Hood River to Portland along the Columbia River Gorge stop here for a quick and easy waterfall hike! Skip the crowds at Multnomah Falls and take this scenic 2.4 out and back hike rewarding you with yet another beautiful waterfall, climb over some rocks to get up close & feel the spray.

Proud Mary

Proud Mary

Super Portland foodie brunch vibes! Check out this modern Australian inspired brunch spot with amazing coffee, cocktails, and food that is as visually appealing as it is tasty. Feeling brave? Try the vegemite.

Mt Tabor Park

Mt Tabor Park

One of our favorite parks in Portland! Get lost walking around this beautiful tree shrouded park with trails ranging from 1-3 miles, take the stairs all the way to the top for a great view of the city.

Hot Yai

Hot Yai

Southern Thai Food... This place is a staple in our diet and it is all about the sauce!! Sean's favorite is the fried chicken & Jenna loves the braised chicken thigh.

Meat Cheese Bread & Beer

Meat Cheese Bread & Beer

Another favorite spot of ours! Great sandwiches with super fresh ingredients and the connected Beer bar next door. Order your sandwich then go next door to select from one of the best rotating tap lists in Portland.
