Take a hike! Find the Tamanawas Falls trail head just a short drive from Government Camp. This is a moderate 3.5 mile out and back hike along a stream to a gorgeous waterfall. Climb up over rocks to walk behind the waterfall and feel the spray.
Stop by The Gorge White House (you can't miss it!) for some delicious cider as you make your way from Mt. Hood to Hood River. On a clear day this spot boasts spectacular views of Mt Hood and Mt Adams. Grab a picnic table & a flight of ciders, relax, and enjoy the views on the farm!
Looking for a more challenging hike? Dog Mountain is a favorite of ours that will surely get you sweating! Park at the trailhead on the Washington side of the Columbia river and prepare for a grueling 6.5 mile hike with 3K ft elevation gain. Pack some extra water (or a beer) and a snack to enjoy at the top, trust us, the views are worth it!
Once you're in Hood River you have to go to Double Mountain for some amazing wood fired pizza and beer! We recommend the heirloom tomato & the truffle shuffle pizzas. Walk it off down to the Hood River watefront where you can watch the wind surfers, go for another beer at Pfriem or Ferment, or grab a latte at Stoked Coffee Roasters.
Making your way from Hood River to Portland along the Columbia River Gorge stop here for a quick and easy waterfall hike! Skip the crowds at Multnomah Falls and take this scenic 2.4 out and back hike rewarding you with yet another beautiful waterfall, climb over some rocks to get up close & feel the spray.

One of our favorite parks in Portland! Get lost walking around this beautiful tree shrouded park with trails ranging from 1-3 miles, take the stairs all the way to the top for a great view of the city.
