Flight
The San Diego airport is conveniently located a few miles from our wedding venue and is a 15-20 minute drive to our recommended places to stay.
Travel Note
To get the most of your San Diego visit, we recommend staying near the beach. Our wedding venue is in an area called Sunset Cliffs that has beautiful Pacific Ocean views, but requires a bit of a hike to get down to the beach. Ocean Beach is the next closest neighborhood to our wedding venue and has a hippy vibe with a more easily accessible beach. We live not far away in Pacific Beach, where you can enjoy a long boardwalk along the bay and beach dotted with bars and restaurants. La Jolla is the next beach town north and has a more high-end feel. There are also fun areas slightly inland, closer to Downtown (Little Italy, North Park, South Park, and Hillcrest to name a few) but we are partial to the beach!
Travel Note
If you want to sightsee during your stay, we recommend renting a vehicle. Rideshares (Uber and Lyft) are also available. Our venue, The Thursday Club, is in a residential area with plenty of street parking if you choose to drive. Tip: If you take a rideshare to the wedding, consider reserving your ride for after the wedding reception in advance. See the link for instructions.
