Travel Note
We recommend using Google Flights (https://www.google.com/flights) to compare flights from various airlines and book a round trip flight from USA to Lima, Peru. This website (https://scottscheapflights.com/guides/how-to-use-google-flights) has detailed instructions on how to navigate Google Flights. The Lima airport (Jorge Chavez International Airport) is the airport closest to our wedding venue.
Travel Note
In the Lima airport, after passing through customs, you will be greeted in English by multiple in-airport licensed taxi services. The easiest way to get to your hotel would be to give them your hotel address and pay them to coordinate a ride for you. A less expensive alternative is to use the airport wifi (free for an hour) to call an Uber via the Uber app.
Travel Note
We are planning to coordinate rides to and from the wedding venue on June 11th. The central meeting point for rides will be at the Fairfield by Marriot Lima Miraflores (https://www.marriott.com/hotels/travel/limfl-fairfield-lima-miraflores/).
Travel Note
If you plan to travel to various parts of Peru while visiting, we recommend flying on LATAM airlines (https://www.latamairlines.com/us/en). While you may be able to find a lower priced flight on other airlines, LATAM is more reliable with fewer flight delays and cancellations.
Travel Note
To get around Lima, it is possible to walk or ride in buses, private taxis, and Ubers. For a person with limited Spanish, the Uber app will likely be the easiest option. Uber allows users to select their starting and ending location on a map without needing to speak Spanish or negotiate fares. Uber is available in the main touristic cities of Peru, including Lima and Cusco.

Note: We are planning to coordinate rides to and from our wedding venue from this hotel. If you stay at this hotel or another one, we will use this hotel as a central meeting point for those rides.

Please refer to the website above for up to date USA re-entry requirements. According to this website, as of December 31, 2021, "Starting on December 6, air travelers aged two and older, regardless of nationality or vaccination status, are required to show documentation of a negative viral test result taken within one day of the flight’s departure to the United States before boarding. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. That includes all travelers – U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (LPRs), and foreign nationals. If you recently recovered from COVID-19, you may instead travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (i.e., your positive COVID-19 viral test result on a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight’s departure from a foreign country, and a letter from a licensed healthcare provider or a public health official stating that you were cleared to travel)."
