On a lovely spring night in 2015, Diana's parents invited a friend over for some arepas. He played for the local minor league baseball team and he had been far from home for months so he decided to join them for dinner and even brought a teammate. On that same lovely Friday night, Diana met Rafael, the teammate, (she really didn't have to look too far haha!) Diana immediately thought he was cute but knew that she was getting ready to move to Orlando for college so it wasn't going to happen. Rafael was also attracted to her but he wasn't looking for a relationship because he was focused on his baseball career, so it was not for him too. Anyways, they stayed friends for about a year but they definitely stayed in touch. After long nights of conversations and hangouts, Rafael and Diana decided to make their relationship official on March 28th, 2016. En una hermosa noche de primavera de 2015, los padres de Diana invitaron a un amigo a comer unas arepas. Jugaba para el equipo local de béisbol de ligas menores y había estado lejos de casa durante meses, así que decidió unirse a ellos para cenar e incluso trajo a un compañero de equipo. Ese mismo viernes por la noche, Diana conoció al famoso compañero de equipo y, por supuesto, era Rafael (¡ Diana realmente no tuvo qué buscar muy lejos de casa, jaja!). Diana inmediatamente pensó que era apuesto, pero supo que se estaba preparando para mudarse a Orlando para ir a la universidad así que no había tiempo para pensar en relaciones. Rafael también se sintió atraído por ella, pero no buscaba una relación porque estaba concentrado en su carrera de béisbol, por lo cual tampoco pensó en que terminarían juntos. De todos modos, siguieron siendo amigos durante aproximadamente un año, pero definitivamente se mantuvieron en contacto.
