Alyson Alconis

Maid of Honor

Alyson and my friendship blossomed instantly. We were like sisters from different mothers, similar in so many ways and somehow always having such an understanding for each other through whatever we may be going through in our lives. I cannot imagine this big day without Alyson by my side as my Maid of Honor. So grateful for our friendship since 2010.

Tommy Williams

Best Man

Tommy and I were roommates from Freshman year all the way through senior year of college and for a few years after as well. We're close friends, and brothers that have been through joy and struggle together for nearly 15 years.

Julia Kong

Bridesmaid

Julia and I have known each other since 1999, when I was still working on my grammar and spelling :P. Julia accompanied me through my assimilation to the United States, its culture and customs, and was instrumental in my formative years. I'm grateful for our friendship over the years and know that Julia will always be a sounding voice in my life.

Kevin Porter

Groomsman

Kevin and I have known each other since the first day of high school where we met in homeroom. We bonded instantly as the black nerds who were super into comics and anime. Not much has changed in that regard over the years.

Yvonne Liu

Bridesmaid

Though Yvonne and I have known about each other in high school, our friendship really took off when I moved from San Diego to Los Angeles in October 2013. Yvonne was someone I looked up to, having had so much more experience in the event industry that I was just breaking into. Yvonne and I fell quickly into a sisterhood, having similar backgrounds and similar vocational interests. Yvonne continues to be a foundational rock here in Los Angeles for me, and I cannot wait to share this day with her by my side.

Raymond Moon

Groomsman

Ray is my oldest friend. I met him through friends after he started attending the school I left the year prior. Through middle school and high school, we were pretty much inseparable. There's more than 20 years of friendship between us.

Ashley Deng

Bridesmaid

Ashley and I have known each other since middle school back where we constantly talked about boys and how we wanted to get married at age 26 or 27. Our dreams of marrying "the one" has been something we've anticipated for each other for as long as I can remember. I was so honored to have been included in her nuptials and I'm SO excited to be making back my promise from 7th grade to have her at mine :)

Nick Denbeigh

Groomsman

Nick and I started as basketball buddies and became friends over time. In such a big city, it's surprisingly difficult to make friends, but Nick welcomed me into his circle and we've been close ever since. From game nights, basketball leagues and shooting ranges to podcasts and martial arts flicks, Nick is one of my closest friends in this big city.

Hanna Wang

Bridesmaid

Hanna and my friendship is one I treasure, no matter the distance. Hanna helped me in 5th grade when I could not communicate to my teachers or classmates fluently in English. Hanna stayed by my side while I learned to take my own footing in this whole new world I was beginning to learn about. Though we live on opposite sides of the country, we continue to invest into each other's lives and I'm so grateful she will be by my side.

Monroe Douglass

Groomsman

Monroe and I were roommates in college and are still incredibly close even through all these years. Even 15 years later, we're online playing xbox, or spades with each other and catching up on life in general.

Clarissa McGowan

Bridesmaid

I owe my friendship with Clarissa to her mom, Evelyn. Evelyn was my manager at my part-time job while in college, and Evelyn had always suggested that her daughter and I become friends. Of course, being the 18 year old selves, we thought we knew better than our elder and did not take Evelyn's suggestion seriously. One day during a recognition ceremony honoring Evelyn, Clarissa and I finally met. Let's just say, the rest is history! Though we've spent time apart in distance, our hearts are always with each other.

Anthony Cook

Groomsman

Cook and I are friends from high school. We actually met through another groomsman (Kevin) because we were all huge nerds about comics and anime. One of my closest friends, he was a big part of the reason I was able to move to Los Angeles. Without his friendship, I wouldn't have been here to meet Cindy.

Phyllis Huang

Bridesmaid

Phyllis and I have known each other since high school up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Our friendship grew tremendously in our adulthood as we trekked through heartache, headaches about our vocations and other similar things in our lives though on opposite ends of California. I can always count on Phyllis through thick and thin and I'm so excited to have her stand by my side to celebrate our marriage!

Vaughan West

Groomsman

Vaughan and I didn't start as roommates but bonded through Monroe and Tommy as they all went to the same high school together. We became close friends, roommates and brothers for life. I trust no one like I trust Vaughan and despite living on opposite sides of the country, when we see each other, we don't miss a beat.
