Everyone needs a tourist visa to enter India. One can apply for an e-visa here: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/tvoa.html Once you apply, you should receive an email with the e-visa within the next week. Print this email and carry it with you throughout your trip. We recommend applying around November and printing extra copies.

February is officially spring in the state of Uttarakhand with beautiful weather that is neither too hot, nor too cold. The days will be comfortably warm with the sun, however mornings and late evenings can see the temperature drop so plan on carrying a light jacket.
Nothing outside of the ordinary when traveling internationally - most people can speak English (albeit a little broken). Observe caution while eating street side food and stick to bottled water. Carry some stomach medicine as most food is spicy in the country. A McDonald's in India is not the same as a McDonald's in America. Please do not wander alone in the National Park without the proper tools or information. It is a highly protected wildlife area.
