Haldi

12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Traditional Indian or colorful casual attire. We encourage everyone to wear yellow! Women: Flowy kurtas, lehengas, lightweight sarees, or dresses. Men: Kurta-pajamas or casual outfits. Important Tip: Haldi stains! Choose outfits you don’t mind getting a little turmeric on. Avoid wearing white or anything too delicate.

The Haldi is a joyful pre-wedding ritual where loved ones apply a turmeric-based paste to the bride and groom. It’s meant to bless them with good luck, glowing skin, and a fresh start before the big day. Expect lots of laughter, music, and a bit of a turmeric splash—it’s a beautiful mess in the best way!

Mehendi

2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Festive Indian or Indo-Western attire. Women: Bright lehengas, sarees, or colorful dresses. Men: Kurta-pajamas or dressy casual outfits. Pro Tip: If you're planning to get mehendi done, wear something with short or three-quarter sleeves and avoid tight-fitting cuffs on your wrists.

The Mehendi (or Henna) ceremony is a festive pre-wedding event where the bride, along with her friends and family members, have intricate henna designs applied to their hands and feet. The beautiful patterns are not only decorative but also symbolic—representing joy, beauty, and spiritual awakening. While the bride gets more elaborate designs that can take hours, guests can also get smaller patterns done by professional henna artists. It's a relaxed, social evening filled with music, dancing, mingling, and celebration.

Wedding & Reception

8:00 am - 4:00 pm

White Petals Gardenia
Bengaluru, KA 560080, India

Traditional or formal attire. Women: Sarees, lehengas, or formal dresses in rich, celebratory colors. Men: Sherwanis, kurta sets, or formal suits. Pro Tip: Indian weddings are colorful! Feel free to dress vibrantly—just avoid solid white or solid black. For women who will be wearing sarees, we will have some help to assist you with the draping of your saree, so don’t panic.

This is the heart of the celebration! Our wedding will be a traditional South Indian ceremony rich in ritual, symbolism, and meaning. Guests will witness traditional customs including the tying of the thali (sacred thread), sacred fire rituals, blessings from family elders, and more. Though some parts may be unfamiliar, we encourage you to simply take it all in—the vibrant attire, the rhythmic chanting of Sanskrit verses, and the sacred moments shared by two families becoming one.
