Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding will be held on Mayne Island, one of our favourite places and we can't wait to share it with you! Our ceremony and reception will take place at 563 Hewitt Road, a beautiful field overlooking the water.

Where can I park upon arrival?

Answer

There is no designated parking lot for guests. Cars can be parked along the side of the road. To try and reduce the number of individual vehicles we encourage guests to carpool. We will also offer a bus for transportation to the celebration site. The bus will also be available for transportation at select times at the end of the evening to take guests back to the Mayne Island Resort.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin punctually at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, please arrive no later than 3:45 PM.

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We'd love to see our family and friends dress up with us! So we are requesting our guests dress in cocktail attire. This link may provide you with some good examples if needed: https://www.theknot.com/content/cocktail-wedding-attire. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors in a grassy area. Ladies, please take this into account when choosing footwear.

When is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

To help us with our planning, please RSVP as soon as possible! However, the deadline is January 18, 2026. If we don't receive your RSVP by this date, we cannot make exceptions and will to mark you as 'no.' We need to ensure that everyone will have to a place to stay on the island, we hope you can understand. You can RSVP by clicking "will attend/will not attend" on our Save the Date invite. The button is located lower down on the invite webpage. Please reach out to Stephanie (604-999-3852) if you are having troubles responding.

Where can I find accommodation on the island?

Answer

Please check out the Travel section of our website. We have recommended a number of places to stay on the island. Due to limited availability and the popularity of the island in July we highly encourage guests to book accommodation as soon as possible!

Is this an indoor or outdoor event?

Answer

Our wedding will be an outdoor event. Please dress accordingly. We will have a rain plan if required.

How can I contribute to your Honeymoon Fund?

Answer

The greatest gift of all is your presence on our special day! We appreciate the time and resources attending our wedding will require. Therefore, we do not expect any gifts, however have created a honeymoon fund/registry for those who insist - please visit the "Registry" page for more details.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. If you've received a plus one, it will be specifically addressed on the invite. Otherwise, we ask that only the number of people on the invitation are in attendance. Thank you for understanding!

What will the weather be?

Answer

BC weather is very unpredictable! Let's pray for perfect weather. However, please come prepared for temperatures ranging from 10 - 25 degrees on average. We will have a rain plan if absolutely necessary.

Are Children Welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding is exclusively for adults. This is also due in part to the venue location.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all top be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos as and videos as you like.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be welcome drinks, wine and beer during dinner and an open bar for the party! We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you!
