Where do I go?

Answer

The wedding is at Firehouse Chicago, at 1545 W Rosemont Avenue! Make sure you're heading to the one at Rosemont and Clark, as theres a few restaurants and such in the city with similar names! It's a big brick building with large doors out front and a gated side garden, can't miss it! When arriving for the ceremony, you'll enter through the garden gate.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The venue will open to guests at 4:00pm, with the ceremony starting at 4:30pm. We'd advise you to arrive closer to 4:00pm, to allow for time finding your seats and getting situated!

How can I get there?

Answer

If taking transit, the venue is right off the Clark and Rosemont 22 stop. It is also a 15 minute walk from the Granville Red Line. The 151, 155, and 36 busses also run nearby, within a few blocks. If driving, parking will be available behind Hayt Elementary School around the corner from the venue. The lot provided is accessible via N Greenview Avenue and W Thome Avenue. Please do not park at the venue unless explicitly told otherwise, parking space there is very limited!

What should I wear?

Answer

Our dress code is dressy-casual, we want everyone to look and feel their best, without being uncomfortable or breaking the bank. The vibe is midi dresses and button down shirts, but make it fun! Color wise, we're aiming for a fall tones vibe, with lots of rose reds, sunflower yellows, sage greens, and jewel tones, but that's not mandatory by any means. Wear something that makes you feel beautiful, that's what's most important to us!

Who can I bring?

Answer

If you're being given a plus one, it will say so on your invitation (either by name or as a general Guest). If you're unsure, when you go to RSVP, it will allow you to RSVP for your guest as well, if you have one. You also do not have to bring a guest if given one, just mark that on your RSVP! If you have questions or concerns, let us know!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We would really prefer you didn't! We'll have a moment for folks to take pictures as desired, but otherwise, we'll have a photographer whose job is to capture all your favorite moments! After the ceremony is over, feel free to take photos, but we will still have a photographer working, so don't fret too much about getting your perfect shot.

What should I expect?

Answer

The venue will open at 4pm, with the ceremony starting at 4:30pm. The ceremony will be outside, with open seating aside from a few clearly marked, reserved seats. The ceremony will be followed by a cocktail/social hour, during which you can figure out your table assignment/seat for dinner (don't worry, we'll have a big sign!). Around 6pm, the reception area will open for guests to take their seats. The couple will make their entrance, and then dinner will be served. Dinner will be served family style, to the tables, and as long as you noted it when you RSVP'd, all dietary restrictions will be accommodated. The bar will be open during the cocktail hour, close during dinner and then reopen for 2 hours afterward. After dinner, after the cake cutting in the garden, there will be some dancing, games, and general fun times to be had! There will also be a quiet room upstairs open after dinner for a more lowkey vibe, if you ever need a break (don't worry, there will also be a sign for this!). The last dance will be around 10pm, but theres no expectation for you to stay that late!
