FAQs

Question

How can I get to Prospect Park Lake?

Answer

We recommend taking a Lyft or cab to the park entrance at Prospect Park Southwest and Vanderbilt St (https://goo.gl/maps/QhCjkBHYFxWAiHUS6). From there it is about an 8 minute walk. Enter the park with Vanderbilt Playground on your left. Cross the road at West Dr onto Wellhouse Drive. Continue on Wellhouse Drive until you pass the Wellhouse on your left (this where you may use the restroom if needed). Continue straight into the meadow of the Peninsula where you should see our group gathering. Escorts will be there to help you find your way! If you are planning to use public transit you may take the F or G train to Fort Hamilton Parkway Station and from there it's an 8 minute walk to PPSW and Vanderbilt. 16 minute walk total. You may also take the F or G train to 15 St Prospect Park station and from there it is a 10 minute walk to PPSW and Vanderbilt. 18 minute walk total.

Question

How can I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

If it's a nice day outside and you're in comfortable footwear it is a lovely 40 minute walk from the Peninsula to our home at 399 Rugby Rd. You are also welcome to exit the park at Vanderbilt St and from there take a Lyft. The B68 bus stops at Prospect Park SW and Vanderbilt Street and will take you to Coney Island Ave and Cortelyou Rd. From there it is a 5 minute walk down Cortelyou Rd until you turn right on Rugby Rd to arrive at our home

Question

Can I park my car in your neighborhood?

Answer

Yes absolutely! Ditmas Park often has plenty of available street parking and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a spot near our home at 399 Rugby Rd. Parking near the southwest of Prospect Park may be difficult, so if you are traveling by car budget extra time to find a space or garage.

Question

What happens if I don't bring my own cup?

Answer

We thank our guests in our efforts to make this event as sustainable and DIY as possible! That being said we will have a collection of thrifted cups available for those folks who find themselves without a cup.
