River Street, Bay Street and Broughton Street are the the 3 most popular streets in the city and the Inn sits between two of them. Savannah is a very walkable city that also has an abundance of ride share options to take you farther afield. Rental cars are not recommended as everything is very easy to reach on foot or via Uber.
Flight
Savannah Hilton Head International Airport
SAV is the nearest airport with several flights from United arriving and departing everyday. They are also often the most reasonably priced. At the airport, there is always a line of cabs awaiting just outside of the arrivals door, or of course you can use your favorite rideshare app. When you are preparing to leave for the airport for your flight home, you do not need to be at the airport 2 hours before your flight. As you will see when you arrive, this airport is TINY. The TSA line is an hour at its max which is exceptionally rare. It's also suggested you get food before you arrive at the airport because although Savannah is known for its food, the airport is not (outside of Leopold's of course!). There is a Starbucks before and after TSA, so do not miss your flight for a coffee!
Rental Car
A Note on Rental Cars
Getting a rental car is not advised. Almost everything you'll want to do in Savannah is a 10 minute walk or less from the hotel including at least 5 restaurants within 50 paces of the lobby - and that is not a hyperbole! Savannah is an older city that does not have a great deal of parking, so usually you'd spend as long driving, circling the blocks, and parking as you would walking. Don't feel like walking? Savannah has an incredible amount of Uber and Lyft drivers at any given moment! If you want to go to Tybee Beach or some places farther afield in Savannah, you can of course get a rental car.
