MY FAVORITE STORE IN SAVANNAH!!! The window displays alone are worth seeing. The inside has an eclectic mix of jewelry, perfume, house wares, stationary, tchotchkes, super cute things for kids and baby and more. It also has a delicious bakery so if you need a quick snack, or even a delightful Parisian sandwich, this is the place to nosh!
Savannah is known for its ghost stories! You can do a walking tour, a pub crawl ghost tour, or drive around the city in a hearse! There are even some options to do some ghost hunting! There are lots to choose from, so this link is just a starting point! Savannah is also famous for its cemeteries if you just wanted to stroll one at your leisure.
She's real kitsch but she's worth strolling through while in Savannah. Horse and carriage tours, local shops, bad art, Savannah paraphernalia, the Prohibition Museum - it is an odd eclectic touristy mix. If for nothing else, there's a Byrd's Cookies store here where you can get free samples of Savannah's famous crunchy mini cookies.
Delicious authentic British pies! This is also the smallest pub in Savannah, but the real prize here are the pies. Split them for a snack or have a whole one for a hearty meal. I also love the cherry cookies - and if you're lucky they'll have their lavender shortbreads!
This is where we celebrated our engagement with a kangaroo appetizer and scallop and wild boar entree. They have excellent food whether you want to choose something from their ever-changing exotic menu or enjoy a well-crafted staple.
There will be a line because it is excellent ice cream. This is the birthplace of Tutti Fruity ice cream and it is fun and delicious! I also love the Chocolate Chewies and Cream and Honey Almond and Cream. *PRO TIP: There is a Leopold's at the airport that usually has no line! The interior of the official Leopold's is a very cute 50's Diner vibe, but if lines are not your scene, the airport has all of the sweetness but none of the line. If you want to see Leopold's without the line, I think there is a way you can bypass the line and go in another door to buy a pint of ice cream instead of being served.
This rooftop bar has fun drinks, good food (like shockingly good ahi tuna tacos), and a great view - especially at night. Yes, it is known for its slide that goes down an entire story. And if you enjoy industrial chic and big ol' I-beams then boy oh boy is this the place for you!
Below the Olde Pink House is a gem of a speakeasy-esque bar. It includes a vault that was only rediscovered in the last decade. You can enjoy a meal here or a drink while lounging in one of their antique chesterfield armchairs.
Do you wish all cocktails were frozen? If so, your dreams have come true! EVERY DRINK HERE IS FROZEN!!! Ask your bartender to try any flavor - samples are free and numerous so try anything and everything. This place is a personal favorite of Mama Lee! *Be aware that although everything looks colorful and cute, these drinks do pack a punch. Call a Cab is named that for a reason! **Remember, Savannah is an open carry city so you can grab a drink and take it to go as you stroll around the city!
