Despite how much they have in common, they also couldn’t be more different- leaving Alison to be described as Meredith’s “evil twin”.

Rani and Meredith were roommates during graduate school at Emory (her in law and Meredith in anesthesia). They first fostered Meredith and Devon’s dog, Clifford, together to which Rani is now the godmother to.
