For a stunning view of La Crosse from the east and the surrounding bluffs, check out this viewpoint. You can hike or drive up, making it accessible for all!
Just 5 mins up the road from our wedding location, this state park sits at the confluence of the Trempeleau and Mississippi Rivers. It offers multiple hikes including Brady's Bluff Trail, Perrot Ridge Trail, and Riverview Trail. Camping is also available (Family sites and Group Camping options).
For any cyclists, this is your opportunity! This bicycle trail follows an abandoned rail spur from La Crosse to Marshland WI-- passing right through Trempeleau and Perrot State Park. Half of the trail is situated close to the banks of the Mississippi River, while the other half crosses through floodplains, deltas, and wildlife preserves.
Our favorite spots include Pearl Street Books, Riverside Park, The Pearl Ice Cream Shop, The Waterfront Restaurant and Tavern (we love their patio!), and any number of bars and breweries.
