Matron of Honor
Growing up in Athens, GA, we have been best friends since the age of 12. Our friendship has seen us through countless soccer games, high school dances, college late nights, travels through Europe and in April 2017, Victoria's wedding to her dream guy, Phil! There is no one better to stand by our side on June 15!
Best Man
It took Markus an unbelievable amount of tries to remember how to pronounce my name but he finally nailed it around the time we became roommates in med school. We've been known to produce award-winning sketch comedy shorts and spend hours watching Patriots highlight reels. Friends have likened us to Bodhizafa and Johnny Utah, mostly because he surfs and had luscious locks back in the glory days.
Maid of Honor
Soon to be sister-in-law! We don't need official documents to start acting like sisters. Already sharing clothes, going on fishing trips together and primping for all big events- we've got this sister act down!
Groomsman
Nate is the only person I trust to navigate a Nicaraguan jungle on a dirt-bike running on empty in search of fuel with little to no sense of direction. As med school classmates and eventual roommates, Nate taught me a thing or two, like the proper way drink a Coor's Light and how to boil chicken.
Bridesmaid
Our friendship began sweating it out together while working at lululemon. It certainly hasn't stopped there, though! We have spent so many fun nights bonding over crafts, teaching Devon how to use make up, and pouring glasses of Velvet Devil during girls nights! She has retired as a highly sought after wedding coordinator, so don't be alarmed if you see her decisively asking the groomsman to behave themselves and line up appropriately in photos!
Groomsman
Josh and I met on the first day of orientation at Duke, moving our mini-fridges up three flights of stairs in blistering NC heat. During our time in Durham, we averaged approximately four 1/2-price sushi rolls and four Cookout trays weekly, spent two to three nights on the sidewalk of Krzyzewskiville and publicly danced to the Soulja-Boy song too many times (>1 time = too many).
Bridesmaid
Like all good friendships, ours really began when Devon was dressed as Gumby and Libby was dressed as Colonel Sanders- the rest as they say, is history! Best friends and roommates throughout college, we have had our share of adventures ranging from wrong turns down country lanes in Kentucky that landed us outside the local jailhouse to convincing unsuspecting strangers that we were two confused Germans lost in the New York Subway. This girl is always down for a laugh and as the world's best pre-school teacher, has her fair share of hilarious stories to share.
Groomsman
Everybody needs that one friend who is always up for a spontaneous trip to Acadia National Park, a night at Foxwoods or a tour of a random old house in Savannah, GA to appease Devon. Doug and I met during med school at BU and have been giving each other excuses for Boston to Portland trips since graduation. Just don't put him in the same room as a referee.
Bridesmaid
Friends since high school and roommates through college, this sweet girl is now a mama to the sweetest boy and living with her awesome husband in Athens, GA! Don't let her sweet, quiet side fool you- Lauren has some of the funniest one liners I have ever heard. She is truly the most selfless friend anyone could ever wish for and if you ever find yourself in Athens on a gameday weekend, you can bet that her house is where the best tailgating can be found!
Groomsman
I was walking out of medical school orientation when I overheard a beautiful Dorchester accent going on about the Patriots and Tom Brady. The rest is history and now Frank is my go-to guy for all things Boston, BU and Bourbon. He also makes a mean night-cap.
Bridesmaid
Becoming fast friends in PA school - we have been through so much together. Surviving grad school, traveling to the Caribbean and hosting each other for game nights and dinners- good thing our significant others love each other just as much as we do #JoeAndCal. If only our pets could model our behavior and show each other a little respect...
Groomsman
I trust Grant with my life. Literally. I found out that he approved of the fact that I was marrying his sister when, while I was dangling twenty feet up on a rock wall, he chose not to "get distracted" and instead let me walk away in one piece. He taught me how to tie a figure eight and is a daily reminder that 49er's fans still exist.
Bridesmaid
We have been partners in crime since the first day of freshman year in high school! As college roommates, Leah showed her true fear of heights when she went an entire year without ever sleeping on her lofted bed, opting instead for the classic dorm room futon. Good times were had when we would rather learn the entire Soulja Boy dance instead of studying for finals, I don't know how we managed to get good grades! Our criminal days are over but we are still the best of friends!
Groomsman
I met James when I moved to Boston to start a Master's program at BU. Oftentimes referred to as 'Turboman' James is sneaky talented on the soccer pitch. If you need someone to tie your bowtie or recommend a single-malt scotch, he's your guy.
Bridesmaid
The sweetest free spirit you ever did meet. Any day spent with Tressa is bound to be full of adventure and good luck. She is the only person I know who can park in a Tow Zone spot for the entire day without getting a ticket and then be given coffee by the admiring cop who just can't bring himself to reprimand her. Her luck didn't run dry when we found ourselves on an isolated beach in the middle of rural Italy and found a boat full of locals to show us around, feed us gelato and drop us back at our hotel. She manages to elicit the best in everyone around her and I can't wait to see the adventures that are in store!
Groomsman
Alex and I met the day that I was born. When I was younger, he was a pretty active older brother, teaching me how to play games like "lock Cal in the basement boiler room" and "tell Cal that I'm timing him so he'll get things for me quickly". At this point in my life, I can thank him for my lack of fear-of-the-dark and the ability to get a glass of milk in less than ten seconds.
Bridesmaid
The first time we met was moving in across the hall from each other freshman year. As luck would have it, these two hall mates ended up joining Theta together and since then we have had so many great memories and shared some pretty good practical jokes! She is an incredible chef and mom to one of the absolute cutest dogs on the planet. Our wedding weekend will be a dual celebration of love and Lizzie's birthday!
Groomsman
Evan and I met at pretty much the exact same time that I met Alex. I can thank him for teaching me a few things in life, namely that Mustangs are the best American muscle and that it's a sin to touch meat more than twice when it's on the grill. You can thank him for the inspiration for the knives on our registry.
Officiant
It's hard to sum up our relationship with Sammi in a few lines. Sammi and Cal have been friends ever since the age of twelve and she was there the weekend when we became "official" (as the kids say). She's seen us at our best, our worst, during our ups, our downs, during our proudest and definitely during some of our most embarrassing moments. Sammi is the best friend that a friend could ask for and we're so lucky to have her officiating our wedding ceremony.
