The Birch on Elm
This was our first date spot! They open at 5 PM, so this is not an option for the Wedding Day, but worth a look for dinner on other days and no list would be complete without it!
The Tavern at the Bedford Village Inn
Yes, it's the reception venue. Yes, it's also one of our favorite spots for good food and drink in the area! Note that they have multiple bars and restaurants to choose from, but we like the informality of the Tavern the best.
The Crown Tavern
A fantastic spot for a sip and a nosh!
The Bistro at LaBelle Winery
A beautiful venue in its own right, LaBelle is one of New Hampshire's most notable wineries. Great for a sip, a bite, or a tasting.
Copper Door
Nestled right in front of Doug's office, this is a great spot for a sip / bite that is only a very short distance from the reception venue.
The Foundry
Tucked away down by the Merrimack River, The Foundry offers great local fare and drinks.
The Friendly Toast
Kitchy diner feel, great food at any meal (open 8 AM daily, til 3 PM weekdays, 8 PM Friday and Saturday)
Dancing Lion Chocolate
This is an internationally-renowned chocolate shop on Elm Street in Manchester. Not only amazing one-of-a-kind creations, but traditional Mayan drinking chocolate seems especially promising on a chilly New Year's Day!
A&E Coffee & Tea
Small coffee spot, and depending upon COVID-19 may or may not have seating, but a local favorite for a well-brewed caffeinated beverage.
Currier Museum of Art
A wonderful local art museum just off the main part of Downtown Manchester
Revival Kitchen and Bar
If you're making a longer trip to the area, or want to explore for dinner on New Year's Eve, Revival is one of our most favorite restaurants in New Hampshire, and certainly our favorite in the area. Worth the trip, book early, and say hi to Chef Corey for us!
Tuscan Market
Also if you're in town for a longer weekend or looking for a fun dinner (NYE or otherwise) - this is in Doug and Steph's neighborhood - Tuscan Village in Salem, NH.
Massabesic Lake
If you want a little outdoors time to soak up the beauty of New Hampshire in the Winter, and you want to remain close to the venue, we suggest Lake Massabesic.
Pats Peak Ski Area
If you don't want to go up to the White Mountains, but you'd like to sneak in a little mountain time, Pat's Peak is a good small mountain with plenty of trails of varying difficulty.
