When’s the Big Day?

Our wedding will take place on Monday, July 7, 2025, in Miami, Florida. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

What is the Dress Code?
Answer
For our wedding, we kindly request the honor of your formal all black attire, no hints of any color from head to toe. Dressy attire: Think elegant and sophisticated. Modest necklines and hemlines: We ask that you refrain from wearing anything too revealing or see-through. No denim: Leave the jeans at home and opt for dress pants or skirts instead. No white attire: We want the bride to shine in her white wedding dress, so please choose a different color. No flip-flops: Please wear appropriate footwear suitable for a formal celebration. We’re excited to celebrate with you and appreciate your cooperation in dressing up for our special day!

Can I bring a plus one?
Answer
If your invitation includes a plus one, they will be listed on your invite and in your RSVP form. We’d love to keep our celebration intimate, so we can only accommodate those listed by name.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be adults only so everyone can relax and enjoy the evening.

What should I expect weather-wise?
Answer
It’s Miami in July—hot and humid with a chance of spontaneous rain. The ceremony and reception are indoors with A/C, but we recommend dressing comfortably and bringing a small umbrella just in case.

What time should I arrive?
Answer
Please plan to arrive by 5:30 PM to allow time for parking, seating, and settling in before the celebration begins. Doors open for seating: 5:45 PM Ceremony begins promptly at: 6:00 PM Guests who arrive late will not be permitted to enter during the ceremony and will be asked to wait until cocktail hour to join. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep the moment uninterrupted and magical.

What if I am late?
Answer
If you arrive after the ceremony has started, you will be asked to wait until it has ended and join the other guests during cocktail hour. Thank you for understanding.

Parking: Where should I park?
Answer
If you are not staying at the Marriott or DoubleTree Hotel, valet parking is available at the venue for $15. Please be sure to use the DoubleTree Hotel valet attendants upon arrival. Once you park, stop by and see our wedding planner, Tawanda Sims, to receive your discount voucher for the $15 parking rate. If you are staying overnight at the Marriott or DoubleTree, overnight valet parking is included with your room reservation.
