Maid of Honor
My not-so-little sister and very best friend in the world. Words don't do justice how amazing of a sister Halley has been to me and I am so blessed by our closeness. I am thrilled that she and Devin get along so well, already bickering like siblings every chance they get, but also so supportive and welcoming of each other.
Best Man
More than a big brother, Lee and I didn't always get along as kids, but after entering adulthood we have become closer and closer with the more time that goes by, even choosing to live together for a number of years. Lee has stood beside me and supported me in all my endeavors, and is the greatest dog uncle a guy could ask for. He loves Eliza and how happy she makes me and I couldn't be more thrilled to call him my best man.
Maid of Honor
Ciera has been an amazing friend to me the last few years, starting as my mentor at work and quickly becoming one of my favorite people to spend time with, in and outside of work. Though she wasn't as sold on Devin as I was in the beginning, she now loves us both and has become a great friend to Devin, too.
Best Man
Rumored to have been my partner in crime since the year of our birth, Jake and I have been wreaking havoc since we were in a nursery together at Maple Grove Christian Church. A friendship that has lasted the test of time, and over 2000 miles, Jake has been with me for almost every first and most milestones in my life. He knows me better than I know myself, and it was in his house where I first met my E. A best friend for life and he certainly has earned the title of Best Man. "It's been a treat, a real treat"
Bridesmaid
I met Abby working in Charlottesville during summers when I was back home from college, and we've remained close through many job, residential, and relationship changes over the years. She has been one of my most steadfast and loyal friends, always will to provide advice or cry with me or watch cringey reality TV. Or listen to me talk about Devin. She has been so welcoming to both of us and I am so happy to have her by my side!
Groomsman
Another of my friendships born at MGCC, Drew has been a fiercely loyal friend to me for over a decade. After attending the same church for 10+ years, we decided to work together for another 5. As if that wasn't enough, when I moved to Norfolk to attend Old Dominion University, Drew joined the Navy Reserve solely as an excuse to follow me to the Virginia Beach area, where our friendship continued to grow. I couldn't imagine taking my vows without him by my side.
Bridesmaid
Annie is one of my favorite cheerleaders, one of my most supportive and encouraging friends. We met at Merkle and we instantly hit it off when we found out we were both homeschooled and worked at Chickfila. Our friendship has been such a blessing and a light for me and I have loved learning from her about work, life, and love!
Groomsman
Tyler, the husband of Eliza's friend Annie. That's how it started anyways, but after a few short conversations about our Fantasy Football teams, some impromptu camping trips, two years later Tyler and Annie have become some of my closest friends. A wonderful example of what it means to be a loving and dedicated husband, I consider myself incredibly lucky to have stumbled into his life and forced my friendship upon him.
Bridesmaid
Susan and I met while we were in college and were pretty much inseparable during my summers in Cville. We grew close over the love of pizza and UVA, but learned that we loved doing pretty much everything together. Although we now live further apart and see each other less frequently, I love our visits and value the time spent with Suz so greatly. She is a loving, encouraging, bad-ass, life-long friend.
Groomsman
Faith. Friends. Fantasy Football. In 2015 I transferred to ODU, leaving my home town for the first time in my life. I didn't know a soul and ended up with 3 roommates that I only knew as well as a handful of text messages could provide. I was quickly made aware that Taylor and I would be fast friends, as his passion for sports eclipsed even my own, but more importantly his faith and desire to have meaningful relationships in all parts of his life. I'm still trying to convince Taylor and his wife Olivia to move to Charlottesville, and having him as a groomsman is the first step in my master plan.
Bridesmaid
Jenn and I bonded quickly over our love of the Miller men. When I first started dating Devin, it was so nice to have another girl around, especially during the football season, to balance out the testosterone. Jenn and I have grown closer over the years as I've spent more and more time with the family and I am so thrilled to have her by my side on the big day!
Groomsman
Despite being a year or two older than me, I took Parker under my wing at a young age. I introduced him to a world of music and video games that he never knew existed and that his parents certainly did not want him to know existed. Somehow his mom and dad showed me grace time and time again and allowed me to remain a part of their lives, which I can't be more thankful for, as Parker and I were inseparable for many years. From airsoft, to treks in the snow, or hanging out playing Nintendo in his basement, it wasn't until college that we finally spent more than a week apart. An adventurous soul and a brilliant mind, I am blessed to still call him my friend, and now groomsman.
Cat of Honor
Cat. Superior species. Only loves mom. Not thrilled about her new brother.
Best Dog
Lab. 5 years old. Single and ready to mingle. Raised by cats.
