This park is near and dear to Brant and Devin's hearts. They took many hikes at this park through all seasons and it is the place where Brant proposed to Devin and also the place they took engagement pictures. There are many great trails you can hike, along with kayaking, fishing, and having nice family picnics at the playgrounds or on the shore of the creek.
Devin and Brant went here on our 3rd anniversary for the lights at the zoo. Devin loves animals and is always excited to go to the zoo. That being said Devin has seen many zoos in her life and thinks the Indianapolis Zoo has amazing exhibits especially the elephants and the ape exhibits. It is definitely worth visiting.
Monument circle is a site to see and is the heart of Indianapolis. Weather you walk up to the monument or just drive around it, it is highly recommend taking some time out of your busy schedule to take in this spectacular monument and all that it stands for. If you are ever in Indianapolis over the winter around Christmas this monument is decorated with lights and nutcracker soldiers. Devin's first time at the monument was on our 5th anniversary when they went to see the lights.
This is one of the first places Devins family visited when they moved to Indiana. Years later her and Brant had a date at the museum, while Brant went through an art phase. It has a lot of beautiful art along with lots of original Indiana art pieces and a beautiful garden you can explore in the nice spring and summer seasons.
