Is there a dress code?

Haldi Event Dress Code For the Groom’s Side: Business Casual: Comfortable yet polished attire is perfect for the event. If you already own bandhani-patterned attire, we would love for you to wear it! This traditional style adds a special touch to the celebration. Please do not feel obligated to purchase this pattern for the event though. For the Bride’s Side: Business Casual: Just like the groom’s side, comfortable and polished is the way to go. Yellow is Preferred (but not required): If you’d like to add a symbolic touch to your outfit, consider wearing yellow—a color that represents happiness and prosperity in this special tradition. Please do not feel obligated to purchase yellow for the event though. For all other events (sangeet, wedding, and reception) there is no specific color scheme. Indian attire is preferred, but black tie is also optional and welcomed.

We encourage you to check with friends or family to borrow Indian attire, as it can sometimes be pricey. Black tie is also an acceptable and welcomed alternative. If you're unfamiliar with draping sarees, we recommend opting for other styles like lehengas or kurtas, as sarees can be tricky to drape without experience.
