Deven and Nick officially met through a mutual friend, now whom neither actually keeps in touch with (GO FIGURE!). It was at an after-Thanksgiving party, Nick had arrived before Deven at the friend's house, and remembered meeting her briefly the year prior (she did not!). Conversation of fashion came up and Nick mentioned knowing someone who worked at Zara, one of Deven's favorite clothing stores . He offered to set her up with that connection, so they exchanged numbers (he still hasn't delivered on this connect by the way). With the party ending early, they thought to continue the night out in upper Manhattan where they eventually shared the most awkward goodnight kiss. They texted everyday for 2 weeks before he asked her out on an official date in Park Slope where they ate, drank, laughed and shared a much improved second kiss. As a post date follow-up, Nick being the "mush" that he is, sent Deven a message with Babyface's song "When Can I See You Again" letting her know he was thinking of her.
