Covid & FAQs

We all know that everyone has questions. Hopefully this helps answers any questions you may have.
Question

What is the COVID-19 policy for this wedding?

Answer

For the safety of all our loved ones, we are requiring that all attendees over 12 years of age be vaccinated. You will be asked to send a proof of vaccination to the couple. If you are concerned about PHI, feel free to hide the date of birth. All other info is not considered PHI and pictures will be deleted after we have tracked it. Please send proof of vaccinations to Devanshi and Prem (devanshiandprem@gmail.com). Feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Question

I see several events on the wedding weekend schedule but not all of them show up on my RSVP page. Which events am I expected to attend?

Answer

Please check the RSVP tab for your personal invite and additional details. While we would love to have each and every one of you celebrating our joyous day with us, we have chosen to keep some events relatively limited.

Question

What is the difference between virtual wedding ceremony, in-person wedding ceremony, and ring ceremony?

Answer

While the in-person ceremony is happening, we will also provide a link for our friends and family to attend the wedding virtually. Additionally, to celebrate our union with those who were not present in-person for the wedding ceremony, we have chosen to do a western-style exchanging of rings and vows during the ring ceremony.

Question

Is the wedding Gujarati-style or Tamil-style?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be a traditional Tamil Hindu ceremony!

Question

What is a biodegradable eco-paper invitation?

Answer

In efforts to reduce paper waste, we chose to print our 1-page invitation on seed paper. Seed paper is a biodegradable eco-paper that is made with post-consumer materials (no trees harmed for this paper!) and embedded with seeds. When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is flowers, herbs or vegetables, and no waste. After our wedding events, simply plant the paper in 1/8" of soil, water thoroughly, and watch beautiful wildflowers grow! Question

Will Devanshi change her last name after the wedding?

Answer

Yes! She is looking forward to taking Prem's last name! Bet you can't find any other Devanshi Vaikuntapathi in the world!

Question

How many outfit changes is the couple going to have throughout the weekend?

Answer

In classic Bollywood and UIUC Fizaa fashion, Devanshi and Prem have several outfit changes planned! Prem has 5 outfits for 3 events and Devanshi has 9 outfits for 6 events!
