We typically book our vacations using VRBO, a form of airbnb. You can get your own condo/home for the price of a 1BR hotel. A lot of owners from places like Ocean Pointe use this platform so we don't have to deal with resort fees. Also, you would be in direct contact with the owner of the property instead of a hotel clerk. If you book in advance, you can get a pretty sweet deal! Recommended locations : Key Largo, Tavernier, and Islamorada.
