Desmond's Favorite Restaurant - this is basically the first place we go after the airport.

Hawthorne Food Carts

We love South East Portland. Lot's of bars, good restaurants, shopping and music. I love these food carts but there are a number of great food cart villages in Portland that are worth checking out.

Yama Sushi & Izakaya

We love sushi - if you do too, you will definitely want to check out Yama!

McMenamins Edgefield

A magical place with multiple bars, a music venue and super funky vibe! Nothing on their calendar yet for music but I would check to see who's playing if you want to go to a concert.

Brewery

There are so many breweries from Portland to the Dalles. Where ever you're staying you can plan on having several nearby.

Winery

Book a tour or go yourself, there are a number of wineries to choose from with gorgeous views of Mt Hood!

Dog Mountain Hike

Long hike that is basically straight up - but worth the effort!

Hike Mount Hood

Drive up to the top or hike a lower trail. Amazing views, rolling foggy hills at the top. you can get a drink at the lodge, recall The Shinning while you're there haha or even go snowboarding! Yes in September. There are a number trail hikes to do with the mountain as the backdrop.

Not planning on hiking but you want to see an amazing view? Drive up to the vista house for a quick visit!

Multnoma Falls

Oregon's most iconic falls. This is a great one to do with children or for anyone who doesn't want a long hike. Tallest Falls in Oregon and easy to get to.

Cannon Beach

Go see the ocean! Canon Beach is a good day trip but if you're going any longer, the most beautiful drive is along the HWY 101 cliffs on the southern coast or Oregon.

TImbers Game

If you like soccer check out a TImber's games, they're so fun!

Northwest Fremont Bridge

One of my favorite things to do is just drive over the Fremont bridge. It's simple, free and you can see the whole city. If you're traveling to downtown, make sure you go the long way and hit the Fremont Bridge for fun.
