Matron of Honor
Destiny and I met in 9th grade orchestra at Renaissance High School in Detroit, and have remained close ever since. I hold a management role within the automotive industry. I'm a dog mom to 2 adopted fur babies, a soon to be mom to my first child and wife. Fun fact: Destiny and Meech made it "official" on my wedding date :) I'm excited to stand by Destiny's side as her matron of honor and can't wait to see how she and Meech flourish together in marriage.

My name is Tai! I am a native Detroiter. I met Destiny at Wayne State School of Medicine while both pursuing our medical degree. Our relationship has grown from not only professional one but also a personal friendship throughout the years. Through her I also have gained another wonderful friendship with Jordan. I am excited to be able to share in this answered prayer and beautiful union! ♥️😊

Jordan Taylor hails from Rochester, Michigan and is a marketing girly by day and an aspiring ceramicist by night. She and Destiny met in their twenties while attending RWM Church, and even after Jordan transitioned to a Detroit megachurch and eventually made the move to Chicago, their friendship never skipped a beat. Over the years, they continued to bond through a shared love of Jesus, good food, fashion, natural hair, and travel. During the pandemic, Jordan and Destiny, along with their amazing friend Tai, began praying together, encouraging one another in their singleness and the many twists and turns of life. It brings Jordan so much joy to see Destiny step into a season of answered prayers. She is beyond excited to be part of the bride tribe and to witness God’s hand in bringing Destiny and Meech together as husband and wife.

From the very start of medical school in 2017, Destiny and I crossed paths in a way that felt deeply intentional, as if God Himself had written it into our stories. We immediately clicked—what began as a simple introduction quickly grew into a sisterhood. Through Destiny, I had the joy of attending her church, where my faith was strengthened and my heart felt at home. Together, we endured the long days and even longer nights of studying, lifting each other up with prayer, encouragement, and unwavering support. In the midst of the challenges, God used our friendship as a source of peace and resilience. I am endlessly grateful for her presence in my life—a sister in Christ who has walked beside me! I’m so excited and grateful to be a part of this new journey!

Hi, I’m Rachel, and I love spending time with my nieces and nephew (and spoiling them!), as well as traveling and mentoring. I met Destiny during freshman year of high school, where we connected as sisters in Christ and musicians. Through the years we’ve had fun celebrating birthdays, taking trips to Metro beach, and catching up over a meal or on the phone. Our friendship has been a blessing through long distances, transitions, and the ups and downs of life. I am incredibly proud of the woman that Destiny has become, and it has been a joy to see her love story unfold! 💕
Bride
Welcome to our website! Soo honored to have my friends and family be apart. A little about the bride-to-be. I was born and raised in Detroit (always my home and a place of comfort for me). I like to say I was raised by a village, but what I’m most grateful for is that I grew up in church, thanks to my late Aunt Frankie who I was literally a shadow of. I am still loving Jesus and growing in my faith till this day and a resident Psychiatrist because of her influence. My Aunt Frankie was a social worker and loved on the children in our neighborhood and I hope to continue to touch lives similarly through ministry and medicine. I was raised by an amazing single mom who’s now my bestest friend. Fun fact: both Meech and I moms share the same name and birthday month- talk about alignment . My late Dad who passed in 2020 moved to CO when I was young. My Dad who I am still so proud of, was a Psychiatric Registered Nurse, lead band singer/guitarist for The King Stan Band and a business owner. I am a lot like my father who now has my mom’s face :) I enjoy spending time with my fiancé of course, quiet time alone doing introverted activities like cleaning/organizing, studying the bible (currently getting into apologetics and it’s a lot of fun) listening to podcasts. I also love traveling, MUSIC, dancing, being physically active and being out in nature! Give me any city with mountain hiking and I’m all in! Love, Destiny
Best Man
I’ve known Demetrius or as I call him, Meech/Meechie his whole life. As his big brother, I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow from a young scrub into an amazing brother, uncle, and loyal friend. Growing up, we spent most of our time cracking jokes, competing in basketball, and turning just about everything into a competition. Through all the years, one thing has remained the same, he still can’t beat me in basketball! But beyond the jokes and competition, I’m proud of the man he’s become. Seeing Meech find someone to build a life with and truly be happy means a lot to me. I’m honored to stand beside him on such an important day and celebrate this next chapter with him. Darryl Moncrease aka Brandon.

As far as I can remember, I’ve always looked up to my big brother Meech. I’m his little brother, but really like his first son because I was the first little person he was responsible for watching over, protecting, and guiding. I’ve watched Meech grow throughout his life through all the ups and downs. One thing I admire about my big brother is his determination and drive to master and be great at the things he loves. As a child, I developed my love for basketball by watching my brother at his games and seeing how him and his friends bonded and had fun playing basketball. I would watch Meech work in the gym from morning until night. That rubbed off on me, and once I was old enough to actually compete with my brother’s size and speed, everything became a competition — whether we were battling in video games or sports. I’ve always looked up to my big brother and strived to be as great of a man as he is. Seeing my brother find the love of his life is beautiful to see. Our older brother Brandon set the standard and was a great influence on our lives, and now seeing Meecho find the love of his life is just as beautiful. I’m honored to be a part of something so special in my brother’s life. Keep setting the standard, big bro! I’m with you every step of the way. Love you, big bro! So proud of you! Lil bro Donnie!

Meech and I have spent our entire lives pushing each other to become better men: physically, mentally, and spiritually. He has had a greater impact on my life than he probably realizes, helping me stay grounded, focused, and grow closer to God. Watching him find his person and begin this next chapter of his life is something I'm truly grateful to witness, and I couldn't be happier for them both.

“ Meech and I, met back in our old stomping grounds—the EB- College of Engineering at MSU. During that time, we shared a love for engineering, but we also shared the struggles of wondering if that engineering nightmare would ever end. Through all the late nights, we developed more than a friendship and brotherhood. To this day, my respect for Meech has never wavered, it has only grown. This man graduated as an engineer… Seriously… who even in their right mind decides engineering isn’t hard enough and chooses to become a doctor? That decision alone says everything about the kind of man he is. Meech, you’ve earned every blessing that’s coming your way, and marriage is one of those blessings. So when I see the woman you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with, I already know she has to be someone truly special. Destiny, you are exactly that. I’m grateful that he found someone who can walk beside him through every season of life. My prayer for both of you is simple. I pray that your marriage is always covered by the grace of God, the blood of Jesus Christ, and guided daily by the power of the Holy Spirit. Because at the end of the day, that is the strongest foundation any marriage can have. May you continue to choose each other every single day. Through the good times, and especially the bad times. Love you both. Congratulations, and may God bless your marriage for many years to come.“
