Our Adventure

2008 - Durham, NH

"Greg and I have been dating since high school and have been together for over a decade now. During our junior year I asked him to the Sadie Hawkins Dance and thats how he became my high school sweetheart. We even won the best couple superlative our senior year! After high school, Greg went to Saint Anselm College and I went to Plymouth State University. When Greg studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain, during this time he convinced me to go and visit him once his semester had ended. We backpacked through Europe for two weeks together and this is when we realized we wanted to experience more of the world together. After graduating and working for a couple years, we both made the crazy decision to quit our jobs to travel the world. We traveled to Europe, South East Asia, Australia & New Zealand for a year. We also spent two-months on a USA cross country road trip traveling 12,000 miles together. There is no doubt that these experiences strengthened our relationship and were some of the best times of our lives! The biggest blessing has been being apart of one another lives through all these years. All of those laughable moments from high school, those gut-splitting stories of teenage craziness, and around the world adventures are memories that we will always share and experiences that we have had together. It has been an amazing decade with my best friend and I can't wait for the decades to come." - Gabrielle

The Proposal

2018 - Sarasota, FL

“Ever since Gabrielle was little, her family would travel to Sarasota, Florida to spend time at least once a year. Her family considers Sarasota a second home and after spending time together there as well, it was very easy to see why. In the Fall of 2018, we planned a weeklong vacation in Florida to visit Gabrielle’s parents in Sarasota and her sister in Jacksonville. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to ask Gabrielle to marry me in a place that is special to her heart. I picked out the ring and packed it safely in my carry-on before our flight down. We landed in Sarasota that afternoon and met her parents who picked us up from the airport. That night we planned to go to one of everyone's favorite restaurants at St. Armond's Circle. Before dinner we went the short distance to Lido Key Beach to take pictures before the sun went down. Little did Gabrielle know that we all had more planned than just pictures! With the sun beaming down and the waves crashing behind us, I turned to Gabrielle and got down on one knee and asked my best friend, my travel partner and love of my life to marry me. After some joyful crying and excitement, Gabrielle said Yes! We popped a bottle of champagne on the beach and celebrated that night at dinner and the rest of the week. Gabrielle told me after that it was the perfect proposal, in her favorite place with family.” - Gregory
