We’re getting married!

Lewis and Emily met on the soccer field during their summers in Mississippi. They became close in 2018, while they were home from college. They hung out all summer, whether it was swimming in the neighborhood lake, grabbing a bite to eat, or kicking it at the fields. Ultimately that summer marked the beginning of their beautiful friendship. They remained close throughout the years, and they decided to make it official at the end of 2020, when Emily was moving to South Carolina for work. After a year of navigating distance, Emily moved to Texas. Their love and commitment grew even more, and they saw each other any chance they got. Through their shared interests and values, they fell deeper and deeper. You could say Lewis’s wits and Emily’s goofiness were quite the match. In March of 2026, Lewis asked Emily to marry him. He took her to a lovely Italian dinner and then to the Broadway touring show, Back to the Future. After the show, he took her to the balcony of Bass Performance Hall, and he got down on one knee. Of course, she said yes! Now they’re ready to begin this next chapter of forever with each other and their two cats, Squirt and Momo.
