This is Melanie’s dad’s bar right in Old Town, and it’s also where our welcome party will be. It’s an easy place to swing by while you’re exploring the area, grab a drink, or meet up with other guests. Consider it a comfortable home base for the weekend if you need a starting point, an ending point, or just a familiar place to land!
One of the prettiest squares in Estepona, lined with cafés and tapas bars. Many places set their tables right in the square by the flowers and fountain. Two casual tapas spots here are La Sureña and Avocado.
The Old Town is one of our favorite parts of Estepona. Whitewashed pedestrian streets, colorful flower pots everywhere, little plazas, cafés and tapas bars tucked into corners. It’s super walkable and honestly just fun to wander around without a plan!
This is the long beachfront promenade that runs along the sea. It's a great spot for a slow walk, a morning coffee or a laid-back lunch by the water. Lots of cafés and "chiringuitos" along the way if you want to stop and hang out.
A short walk from the promenade, the marina has a mix of restaurants, bars and places to sit by the water. It’s relaxed during the day and livelier at night, making it an easy spot for a casual drink or dinner after exploring Old Town. Great for strolling along the docks or grabbing seafood with a view.
About 20 minutes from Estepona. This is a luxury marina and resort town in Marbella with high-end designer shops, superyachts and lots of restaurants (it's nicknamed "the Monte Carlo of Spain"). It’s fun for an afternoon stroll, a cocktail by the water or a little people-watching.
If you’re staying longer, Ronda is an amazing day trip. The town sits on top of a massive gorge with a stone bridge that looks straight out of a movie. It’s one of the oldest towns in Spain, so you get dramatic views, winding streets and really good food all in one place.
A fun half-day option if you want something different. You’ll go through customs since it’s a UK territory, but once you’re in, you can take the cable car up to the Rock for crazy views all the way to Africa. There are also underground tunnels, monkeys roaming around and a cool mix of British and Mediterranean culture.
