Travis & Destinee were colleagues before they were the lovebirds you see today. Destinee worked on a team that Travis had just transitioned off of, so he frequently came by. Destinee would often have very entertaining weekend stories of dating app meet-ups gone wrong. Every Monday, Travis would meet with her early in the morning to hear about these horrible dates. Unbeknownst to him, Destinee loved these weekly meetings because she fancied Travis quite a bit. Eventually, after one too many bad dates, Travis offered to take Destinee out to do what he would normally do one weekend... Their first date was the start to their happily ever after. They met at 10 am to go ice skating at Park Tavern, where the date turned into an all-day long affair. They went to La Fonda, Ponce City Market, and eventually, Suite Lounge where the date ended around 1 am. They went on a date nearly everyday thereafter and started exclusively dating. Two short weeks later, they ventured to Roatan, Honduras which soon led to many more travels abroad with one another. They were complete opposites but the security and calmness Travis brought to Destinee's risk-filled, adventurous life balanced in the most beautiful way. On August 8, 2020, Destinee had orchestrated what she thought was a family birthday party for both her and Travis' side. There are 7 birthdays between both sides of their families within 12 days of one another. From California, to Texas, all the way to Pennsylvania, Travis had been planning the families to come into town for months. Although she decorated the house for a birthday party, Travis had known this would not be an ordinary birthday get-together. Shortly after everyone arrived, they were standing around getting ready for a family photo when Travis called everyone's attention and asked Destinee to spend forever with him.
