Our favorite people!

Rachael Billinghurst

Matron of Honor

Rachael and Emily met in late 2017 when she joined their band at church. Emily didn't like her at first and it wasn't until the next spring that they became best friends. Rachael has the voice of an actual angel, has magical piano playing fingers, and soul of an old grandma. She and Emily have a bond they don't share with anyone else. She is her sister, mother, grandma, fairy god mother and best friend wrapped into one. Emily is so blessed to have her in my life and can't imagine her wedding day without her. Most likely to be crying with Emily over how much they miss her daughter, Lyla.

Abbie Greene

Matron of Honor

The other half of Emily's heart, Abbie and Emily have been best friends since 8th grade in 2011. She and Emily had lockers right next to each other and Emily just so happened to compliment her shirt one day and the rest was history. They have been inseparable since then! They navigated high school together and Emily sadly let her move to Colorado with her boyfriend (now husband!!!). Emily was lucky enough to be her maid of honor in her wedding in July 2022 and she can't wait for her to be her other co-matron of honor on her own wedding day. Most likely to be FaceTiming her dogs during the reception.

Jordan Close

Bridesmaid

Jordan and Emily met in 2016 when they worked at ULTA Beauty. She said Emily looked "scary and intimidating" so she made it her mission to befriend Emily--and it worked! They instantly clicked and became incredibly close in a short period of time. They got to live together for several months in 2017-2018 where they lived their best lives co-parenting a kitten while struggling to pay their bills. It was the best time ever. Jo and Em have a very special friendship that is so near and dear to Emily and she can't imagine her life without her ray of light shining on her and everyone around her every day. Most likely to be forcing a drink in Emily's hands (even though she knows she's allergic).

Sara Delany

Bridesmaid

Sara is the older sister of Josh and one of Emily's best friends! Sara and Emily immediately shared a mutual love of musical theater, makeup and Schitt's Creek (iykyk). Emily feels so fortunate to have found such a gem of a friend in her future sister-in-law and she can't wait to continue making so many memories together on their days o' fun! Sara is the best 3rd grade teacher you ever wished you had and has such an amazing sense of humor. Emily can't wait to be an official Delany so she and Sara can share the same last name for at least a little bit until hers inevitably changes! Most likely to be crying because she doesn't want to be hungover the next day.

Hayley Sleight

Bridesmaid

Hayley is the wife of Emily's older brother, Alan. She has been in her life since at LEAST 2011, when she and Emily's brother met in high school. They quickly became inseparable and Emily realized she would be seeing a lot more of Hayley in her life. Emily counts herself so lucky with the two sisters she's gained from marriage. Hayley and Emily share a love for baking, the MCU, her brother and most importantly, their dogs. While she doesn't get to see them very much anymore (thanks, Navy) to know she's only a text or phone call away when she's feeling anxious or sad is such a relief for Emily. She is one of her closest people and she is SO thrilled they will be with us on our big day, all the way from Hawaii! Most likely to be wearing her husbands sweat pants by the end of the night.

Alyssa Ruthruff

Bridesmaid

Alyssa is Emily's little sister (but actually the little sister of Rachael). She has truly been like a little sis to Emily since day one. Alyssa is one of the most kind hearted, humble and sweetest people you will EVER meet in your life time. Her heart of gold makes everyone love her and Emily can't help but be so outwardly proud of the woman she is today. She is a God-fearing, hard working, rat (the cute kind) loving girl who Emily couldn't imagine not being up there with her on my wedding day. Most likely to be saying "my pleasure" to everyone she meets (iykyk).

Ryan Shane

Best Man

Ryan and Josh met and became good friends in fourth grade. After that year they lost touch but regained their friendship tenfold in their senior year of high school. After countless dinners at Cancun Mexican Grill followed by frozen yogurt, a million gaming sessions, making a movie together, and having each other's back through thick and thin, he is the closest thing Josh has to a brother. It is with great honor and love to present him as the best man at our wedding. Most likely to be playing video games when the ceremony is starting.

Alex Chang

Groomsman

Alex Chang is one of the most unique and fun loving individuals Josh has ever met. He will never forget meeting him during Josh's freshman year (his junior year) in an early rehearsal of Guys and Dolls at Williamston High School. Here comes the charismatic lead of the show, treating Josh like he's known him for years, always referring to Josh, to this day, as 'Mr. Delany'. After all this time and across the length of the country, Josh is so grateful to call Alex his friend and have him as a groomsman. Most likely to be spilling tea about the world of Disney.

Mac Clover

Groomsman

Mac Clover is the type of person everyone needs in their life. He is caring, thoughtful, and funny as hell. And for bonus points, he's a bee keeper! He and Josh have collaborated on his business, played music together and acted together on stage. Any time they see each other, it's as if no time has passed. Mac is an old soul, the best librarian, and one of the best people to go to for advice or just a laugh. Josh is so excited to have him stand with him on the big day. Most likely to be helping an elderly person cross the street.

Alan Sleight

Groomsman

When you start dating a girl who has a big brother, the thought can be intimidating. With that being said, Alan has always made Josh feel welcome and made a point to be a part of our life. With him being away from home so often, serving our country, they don't get to see him as much as they would like to. It is truly special that Alan will be standing there on the big day for the both of them. Most likely to be recruiting people to be on submarines in the Navy.

Michael Delany

Groomsman

Having a cousin so close in age is a blessing. Josh and his cousins got to grow up together and experience similar life events at the same time. They have a lifetime of memories together, some of which include playing music together, going to RUSH concerts, and spending the holidays as a big family. Michael is one of those guys that Josh can spend hours with and it's like no time has passed. He counts himself extremely lucky to have him as a cousin and one of his groomsmen. Most likely to be collecting/hoarding vinyl records.

Matthew Delany

Groomsman

Matthew is the other side to the trio of the young Delany men. Just as Josh has with Michael, they share so many great memories filled with laughter, sharing funny videos back and forth, and late night game nights. It's been awesome growing up with him in such a close proximity. They have learned so much together and Josh truly feel honored to have him as one of his closest friends and as a groomsmen on their wedding day. Most likely to be monitoring the stock market through the ceremony/reception.
