We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Emily: We first met in middle school at Williamston Middle School in 6th grade but we didn't become good friends until sophomore year of high school. We bonded and became close friends through our theater production class, drama club and choir. Throughout sophomore, junior and the first part of senior year, our friendship continued to blossom and grow--but neither one of us ever thought we would be here today. Nevertheless, Josh asked me out in the costume room at the end of January 2016...to which I said no because I didn't want to ruin our friendship, which was so special to me. BUT, after getting bronchitis the day after and having several days to mull our options over, I texted Josh saying I was all in. We've been through our fair shares of ups and downs, but we have always stayed best friends first. We've traveled all over Disney World together, visited my brother and sister in law in Virginia and are (im)patiently waiting to visit them in Hawaii! Josh: After all of the amazing experiences we shared together, I was ready to make a commitment to our future. A little over a month before I popped the question, I chose a ring that embodied the beauty I had always seen in Emily. Keeping the ring from her for weeks was nerve-racking in the best of ways. Harbor Springs is one of our favorite places and we had a weekend getaway planned in September 2022. This was the prime opportunity and I couldn't wait to surprise her. It was a Saturday evening when we walked hand in hand to the end of the marina under the golden sky. In a rouse to get a picture of us, I quietly asked a kind stranger to take a video as I was about to propose. I turned around to the rest of my life and got down on one knee. I professed, "I love you, I love us together, and I want to do this forever. Will you marry me?" Luckily, the next thing I know, the diamond was shining on her finger. We are so looking forward to celebrating our love with everyone WE love! We can't wait for you to join us in November of 2023 to party and share the love! Love, The future Mr. & Mrs. Delany
