Jerez Airport (XRY)

The city of Jerez de la Frontera has its own small airport; while this might be an option for guests traveling within Europe to the wedding, for those who will be traveling internationally there will be fewer sensible connections.

Seville Airport (SVQ)

The next closest airport is Seville Airport. By car or by train, this is about 1 hour from Jerez de la Frontera. Train tickets range from about 10-15 euros, and can be purchased from a multitude of websites. Our recommendation is using the "Renfe" app - where you can purchase city to city train tickets. Train tickets would not need to be bought far in advance, as there are many options for booking week of, even a couple days before.

Flight

Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP)

A third airport we would recommend flying into is in Málaga; while this is the furthest of the three, there is potential for it to be the most affordable option, depending on when exactly you are flying. The city of Málaga is about 2.5 hours from Jerez de la Frontera by car, or 3-4 hours by train. Again, we would recommend using the Renfe app for city to city train bookings.

Other Travel Information

While the wedding itself will take place a bit outside of the city (about 25 minutes), there are also many great options for lovely hotels and airbnbs in the city of Jerez de la Frontera itself. The city is small, but not tiny, and overall very safe. Local taxis and public transportation are all readily available transportation options while in Jerez. Transportation will be arranged for guests to and from the wedding, with pick-up and drop-off locations including a central point in the city and the Barceló resorts mentioned above.
