We're Getting Married! Introducing "The Hawkins"

We met at a place that we both hold near to our hearts . . . Church. Although, we knew each other and would speak in passing, never did we imagine 6 years later we would even be together forming an undeniable love and passion for one another. Then one day in early December 2017, we began to communicate through social media. We then realized that after all this time of knowing each other, seeing each other, and attending the same church (for a short amount of time) there was a fondness and admiration we held for one another. Neither one of us expressed any interest prior to that time, but God has his own timing. His time is always the right time. . . Now, He has allowed this time for us to make things official and join our Union under God. We are thankful and grateful to share this moment to celebrate our love before God, family, and friends,

It was getting close to the time for TesJean to relocate from his hometown and move out of state to pursue his music and ministry. They just had a wonderful service at church as it would be the last Sunday that both of them would be in town. Shortly after, they went to the family dinner at his Aunt Nancy's house. TJ acted as if everything was normal. After enjoying dinner and time with family, they left to run a few errands, and all of a sudden the two just had to go back to his Aunts house because he "forgot" to fix a to-go plate when normally his grandmother would fix them a plate. Now, all of a sudden they needed to go back. They walk back into Aunt Nancy's house, Desi sits down to talk to the rest of the family that was still there as TJ walks back into the kitchen to "fix his plate" Next, TJ comes back out the kitchen with no plate and a serious look on his face stating "Babe, I need to talk to you" Down on one knee he goes and the ring comes out. Desi could not even get herself together. His family that was still there were in shock and screaming with love and cheer. They were doing what Desi could not verbally express at the time. He popped the question. Desiree bowed her head in total awe and honor, She wept in joy, wrapped her arms around his neck and responded, "YES." Truly a day they will never forget. They are so grateful to share that moment with some of his family as well. It was definitely a moment to remember. Now, they are on the way to creating a Lifetime of memories TJ and Desiree are excited to share and celebrate another momentous occasion with their family and friends whom they love so dearly.
