Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places in the area with you!

Oregon Historic District

Dayton, OH 45402

The Oregon District is a neighborhood in Dayton, Ohio. You can walk down the street to multiple restaurants, bars, breweries, and our favorite, Thai 9 (where we had our first date).

Warped Wing Brewing Company

26 Wyandot Street, Dayton, OH 45402
, (937) 222-7003

This amazing little brewery is full of laughter and life. Great selection of beers and a very welcoming look and feel. The brewery tour is a must. Excellent experience and service! Also, has a special place in our heart as it was a part of our first date.

RiverScape MetroPark

237 East Monument Avenue, Dayton, OH 45402
, (937) 274-0126

This popular park, found along the Great Miami River in the heart of Downtown Dayton, is a hub of activities for all ages -- from concerts and community events to bike rentals. Beautiful floral plantings, hanging baskets, and fountains make RiverScape the Miami Valley's favorite community gathering place. Always open.

Cox Arboretum MetroPark

6733 North Springboro Pike, Dayton, OH 45449
, (937) 275-7275

Cox Arboretum MetroPark is a very special place for visitors to approach, enter, and connect with nature. Come look at, discover, and rest in the serenity and majesty of trees and shrubs thoughtfully arranged to capture the imagination.

2nd Street Market

600 East 2nd Street, Dayton, OH 45402
, (937) 228-2088

Depending on when you leave on Saturday, you can enjoy the bustling place with merchants selling local produce, food & crafts in a former freight station. Opened from 9am-1pm

The Greene

4452 Buckeye Lane, Beavercreek, OH 45440
, (937) 490-4990

Town Center-style shopping with a mix of stores, regular spots and some "close to the outlet" (e.g., Nordstrom Rack) Nice mix of clothing and goods, also a number of reasonable eateries - some well known (e.g., Cheesecake Factory) and some not so known (e.g., The Pub), as well as a movie theater. For those that like to shop, you can spend hours here. For those that don't, it is a nice place to walk around, grab what you need, maybe a bite to eat, and then head out.

National Museum of the US Air Force

1100 Spaatz Street, Dayton, OH 45431
, (937) 255-3286

Where can you go and see a space shuttle, Cold War spy plane, Russian MIG, and the plane that George Lucas modeled the millennium falcon cockpit on. So much history. Take your time. Immerse yourself in the four huge hangars. We took two half days.

Hollywood Gaming at Dayton Raceway

777 Hollywood Boulevard, Dayton, OH 45414
, (844) 225-7057

Great casino. Lots of fun slots to play and good food. Plenty of TV screens to enjoy sports.

For all the days along the way
