I can always rely on you to believe in me, send me positive reinforcement regardless of how hard I make it sometimes. You have dealt with me in my rarest of forms and you still love me. Now THAT is family. I love you, sis!

Best Man
Brother from another mother. David was one of the few people that I instantly became best friends with and after a year or so of knowing each other, I jumped up on stage with him while he was DJing at a bar and a whole new era was born. From that moment, every DJ gig he took became our little experimental live duo. We spent a lot of time playing music, but more importantly, goofing off and having the best time. Every time we get together, it seems we have this unwritten challenge to make each other laugh harder than the other. Whether it's watching tv, jumping from tubes behind the boat, or just sitting in the car, it's a constant blast and I wouldn't be complete without his friendship. We've been through it all and I'm honored to have him help us step into the next chapter of our lives!

John was right there in the beginning... LD for hire and a true supporter and believer in me as a musician. We have countless stories and shenanigans to talk about, but my absolute favorite memory was when John packed us in his van (miss that van), drove us to St. Louis, and helped with a 2 night run for Umph afterparties. They told us we couldn't have lights because the power wasn't sufficient, but John set them up anyway. Fuses popped and lights went out mid show, so John started selling merch instead. He raised like $400. We went to the casino. Shit got weird. God I love you man. There is no one I've met that will work harder or play harder on the planet and I'm honored to call you a brother.

Mark has always been a believer in me. I could trust him with my life. I could count on him for just about anything. If you know him, you know. I can remember playing keyboards one night and with a disappointed look on his face, he said, "why aren't you famous?" I chuckled but he stopped me and said, "No dude, you need to get out there, join whatever band, and be famous... AHHH." He's always made me feel like a I can do anything and I've always respected his opinion. We may not live near each other or always keep in touch, but he's one of those friends that just with a hug and a good conversation can make you feel like not a day has gone by since the last hang. He's someone that I definitely want in my corner and I'm so excited to have him by my side.

Brother Malcolm Johnson. You were nothing until you met me. I changed you up good. You were a sinner, but now look atcha! For real tho, who doesn't LOVE Malcolm? He's quite possibly Jesus. Maybe. It's almost inhuman how joyful and happy this mf is. Always down. Always positive. Always trying to figure out the best way to do something so everyone is happy. He's a no-brainer best friend to have and I've never gotten into any trouble with him because he doesn't cause any. He inspires me to cause 0 trouble. Legend. He is the ultimate friend to share new tunes with because he always has some up his sleeve to show you. I love seeing him dig and learn more about anything he invests himself into. I also think he's very handsome.

When I got started playing in bands, we just played in basement bars and old stages with out-dated set-ups. Then there were festivals where everything was brought together by the lights, music, and the people. Herm was this badass who ran lights at the Bluebird in Bloomington at first, but then quickly came to be known as the authority in stage production and light design. Our friendship grew out of respect for one another, but then evolved over the years as we traveled, ate, drank, and worked together. Herm is a true, no bullshit, kind of friend. My parents always ask how he's doing. If he wants to visit the lakehouse... he's welcome (a true keeper). You are one of the hardest working individuals I've ever met and I don't think it's evident to others how much you sacrifice.

From sharing the same dance floor to the same house, we've grown to be life-long friends that know how to cook up some good times. I'll never forget visiting Elliot in Louisville, KY at one of the greatest steakhouses in the country, Le Moo, where he was a Sous Chef. After taking Desi to Cincinnati to see some Cory Henry, I surprised her and told her we weren't going straight back to Indy. We shot down to Louisville and explored the city together. As we made our way down the bourbon trail, I was vigilant in keeping my appetite locked and loaded. Now, I've never felt more like a rockstar than when I was "Elliot's guest" at Le Moo. He blew us away one dish after the next and so we made sure to make him our roommate when he moved to Indy. We've had endless good times, and they'll never stop!
