On May 12th, the Governor of Ohio announced that all health orders, including social distancing and masks, would come to an end June 2nd. May 13th, the CDC announced fully vaccinated folks can drop their masks effective immediately when indoor or outdoor. The Zoo took this information and announced that they will no longer be requiring masks for guests starting May 17th (two weeks before the wedding) as long as proper distancing can be made. We are not expecting the masks to be required at any point (except potentially the dance floor), but if you are not vaccinated or want to wear a mask, please do! Our entire event will be outdoors (weather dependent), so it should be a low risk situation. We look forward to seeing you in a couple weeks!
We are holding our ceremony and reception at the Cincinnati Zoo’s Giraffe Ridge and Base Camp Cafe! Parking and admission has been given to each guest at no cost, please check in at the ticket office when you arrive. Bring your dancing shoes and get ready for a great time!
Ceremony seating will begin at 6pm, with the ceremony beginning shortly after. Wedding festivities will wrap up around 11:30pm. As a reminder, you are able to visit the zoo two hours before the ceremony, so feel free to come earlier and check out the exhibits! No need to bring tickets, just check in at the ticketing office.
We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail attire! Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, so please make sure to dress for the weather! For women, we recommend wearing wedges or flats as the area is moderately hilly and the walk from the zoo entrance to the ceremony location is a bit long. For our guests with mobility issues, the zoo has provided a golf cart to transport to and from the zoo entrance to the ceremony location.
We are currently registered at Bed Bath and Beyond as well as Zola! Our registry tab has condensed both registries to one spot so it’s easier to navigate for our guests.
In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation; this includes children. We please ask that you leave children under the age of 16 at home. Use our wedding night as an excuse to let loose and have a kid-free night! Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions--we cannot wait to celebrate with you!
It’s been a long year and many of our guests have misplaced the original tickets sent with invitations. No need to worry—we are now having guests check in at the ticketing office instead of the tickets dated 5/30/20.
