After dating for 6.5 years and planning our big day for 2 years, postponing our large gathering was something we did not want to do, but chose to do so for the health and safety of our guests. With that being said, we continued with our plans to become legally married in 2020 and had an intimate backyard ceremony with our immediate family on May 30th. We will treat 2021 as our wedding day once again, with all of the regular wedding festivities at the Cincinnati Zoo. We hope to see you there!

We first met each other at Wright State University through a mutual friend. After living on the same floor freshman year, we instantly became close and soon started dating. After two years, we moved in together and adopted our first dog. We enjoy traveling together, hanging out with our pups Groot and Luna, and enjoying our new home in Hamilton, OH.

In late July 2018, we took our first trip together outside the U.S.—a cruise to the Bahamas! We had such a great time exploring the islands, snorkeling, and enjoying all the amazing food. Once we sailed back to the states, we immediately began our second leg of our vacation by spending four days at Disney World and Universal Studios. The days were long, but we fully enjoyed each and every park. On the last day of our trip, we had planned on going to a nice brunch in Downtown Orlando and then spending the afternoon at Universal. We took an Uber from our hotel to the “brunch place”. Once we arrived at Leu Gardens, Desirae was still completely clueless as to what was happening and just thought the brunch place was within the gardens (LOL). We were walking around for a bit trying to “find” the so called brunch place (she was promised bottomless mimosas) when we turned down one path and Desirae saw a rose on the ground. This is when it finally clicked as to what was going on, and Nick asked Desirae to marry him! Nick had also planned to have a photographer shoot the proposal and do the engagement photos, which can be seen under our photos tab.
