I always tell people that one of my favorite parts of Derrick is his FAMILY! I met Sarah a few years before Derrick and I started dating and we immediately hit it off. D tells me often that we're the same person. We are grateful for our daily Facetime sessions with Sarah, Remie, and baby Jovie on the way. Not only is she going to now be family, but I got her as a friend for life OH YAAAA.

Since day one, this dude has given more to me than I could ever know. If I could be half the man, father, pastor, etc. he is, I will be set. It wasn't fitting to have just one best man, and I am happy he is willing to wear the hat as well. He is the brother I never had, and the mentor I couldn't live without!

The ultimate wingman. Without Kirby and Dez's investment, basement and couch, and many sleepless nights, there would be no Derrick & Ashley. We had many evenings of coffee, apple crisp, and 24 / Prison Break. These nights often resulted in myself falling asleep while the rest of them watched, but it helped Derrick to realize how much he liked being around me ;)

He and Dez had a master plan all along to bring Ashley and I together, and I couldn't be more thankful for their impact and insight they have given to both Ashley and I. His investment as a friend has made a lasting impact on the way I see others, life, and Christ. I am thankful he decided to say yes, even if he won't be able to rock the H&M look.

Dan and Abby offered to let me live with them almost 2 years ago. Our evenings consist of family dinner, and then Hulu shows for myself and Abby, and video games for Derrick and Dan. They've become some of our best friends. She's been my sounding block, my go to person, and a huge supporter of our relationship.

Isaiah always keeps things interesting. I was always nervous I wouldn't get along with my significant others siblings, and this has definitely not been the case for Isaiah and I. We mesh so well and although share different interests, easily get along and find ways to kill the time. Looking forward to calling this dude brother!

Macey's family owns a small cabin in Paynesville, MN where they spend many of their weekends at. On Sunday mornings, Macey and her fam would attend church where I went. About 9 years ago to the day, Macey's family was visiting and we met during greeting time. Since that day, we’ve talked daily. I had the honor of standing up in Macey and Jake's wedding and now Macey gets to do the same!

This guy (surprisingly) became one of my best friends just as I was starting to figure this whole life thing out. I had many trials and refining moments in my life, and he has been there and faithful through them all. Even though we are many mile apart, it is not hard for us to jump back in and go from where we left off. Love this guy, and am so honored he is a groomsman!

My longest friend. Klair is my cousin and we spent many years playing bride through the years. We've always said we'd be in each other's weddings. She's busy in school right now, but taking a few days off to come stand with me and support us on the big day!

I feel like all the groomsmen are equal, and his contribution to my life as a friend, example of Christ, and man of integrity has helped lead me to where I am today. Whether he is casting vision for his church, leading a family, or just simply organizing something, he has shown his true character by being a faithful friend. Love this guy!

Sweet little Rem is D's oldest niece. She's a spit fire of sass and energy. We LOVE her! Because they live in AZ, we depend on Facetime to talk to her on the daily. I'm excited to finally claim her as my niece!
