Welcome to the Next Chapter of Our Love Story!

[Derrian's Perspective} It was Friday, July 19, 2013. I was attending orientation with my mom. Suddenly, a young man and his parents walked up and said hello and had a seat in the same section of the bleachers. You know how you get the feeling that you're being watched, well I had that feeling so I turned around to find the culprit, (John), staring back down at me. (Fast-forward to August) I was sitting in my dorm room when my best friend Andrea texted me and said: "Hey, the guy who always speaks to you wants you to come downstairs." At this point, I'm thinking to myself that narrows it down to just about the whole campus, so let's go see who it is. I get downstairs and Andrea is sitting there but there's no guy. Hmmm, suddenly I see someone approaching and to my surprise, it was the same guy from orientation. We sat and laughed and talked for a little while and then we exchanged numbers and now 5 years later here we are. [John's Perspective] July 19, 2013, I was attending college orientation at ABAC. I was excited about starting this new chapter in my life, but suddenly, someone caught my eye. As I was walking to a seat, I noticed a smile on this beautiful young lady's face. I led my parents to a section close to her so that I could get a better view. While the coordinator was giving us a briefing of the day, I was staring at this young lady, trying not to get caught. My dad asked, "Why aren't you paying attention?" and I pointed at her and told him, "That's going to be my girlfriend one day!" IMMEDIATELY, my mom said, "You're down here to get an education, not to chase girls!" (Fast forward - 1st day of school) We didn't have class together, but we always crossed paths at some point during the day. I would wave or say, "What's up?", but she never showed any interest, she just politely spoke back and kept walking. I finally built up the courage to talk to her a few days later because I couldn't let a smile so beautiful pass me by. 5 years later, here we are!
