By now, I’m sure we all know our story. But for those of you who might now know, or are curious… Our story began in April of 2023 when we matched on Tinder. We know…Tinder of all places. But after months on the dating apps with no success, and both of us on the verge of quitting them altogether, one fateful swipe and we had matched. However, it wasn’t until the next day that we actually began talking. Dylan messaged first with a cheesy/punny pick-up line that worked surprisingly well. It’s one of our favorite memories together actually. Little did Gabby know, they had matched two days before Dylan’s birthday. We talked throughout the week and planned to meet up that weekend. As far as first dates go, we had a rather interesting one. Dylan offered a ride on his bike and Gabby, who had never been on a motorcycle before, nervously but excitedly obliged. We rode through Maryland, stopping at High Rock Overlook. Many more dates followed and we began to grow closer and closer, both taking small steps to get to know each other as well as ourselves. We enjoy binging shows together, scary movies, motorcycle rides, hiking, fishing, kayaking, and much more. Speaking of hiking… On June 6, 2025 Dylan offered to go for a hike. There was a small rocky overlook he passes daily on his drive to work. This overlook is Point of Rocks and is much smaller than High Rock and more secluded (which we love!). We drove to Point of Rocks and began the hike up the narrow mountain paths. Arriving at the top, we set up a tripod and began to take pictures together. Unbeknownst to Gabby, Dylan had other plans that evening. After a few minutes of taking pictures and embracing the view, Dylan took both of Gabby's hands, dropped to one knee, and popped the question "Will you marry me?" Gabby excitedly said yes, Dylan placed the ring on her finger and we enjoyed the quiet solitude happily together. We were now fiancés!! The days that followed were met with joyous phone calls to friends and family - the same friends and family we are excited to celebrate with on our wedding day.
