Washington, DC is about an hour away if you have additional time to explore museums, monuments, and more. We encourage you to eat at Circa Navy Yard where we had our first date or grab a drink at nearby Dacha Biergarten, one of our favorite happy hour spots. Check out Maddy’s college George Washington University in Foggy Bottom or explore Derik’s favorite Smithsonian, the National Air and Space Museum. If you are staying until Sunday, we encourage everyone to attend our church, Waterfront Church DC, in Navy Yard.
