Kevin and Derek have been friends since Jr. High. Because of Kevin, Derek discovered his love for traveling, hiking and tennis. Besides his terrible taste in "music" Kevin is the kind of friend everyone should have; a friend who pushes you to keep learning and who will immediately plan the next time you'll see one another again, and who is not afraid to tell you he loves you.

Jane and Michaela go way back - they met on the playground at Withrow Park in Toronto when they were 3 years old. Their parents put them in toddler ballet which, shockingly, neither of them pursued further. Jane and Michaela have been friends ever since, as have their younger brothers Renn and Alec, and their families; the Wieczorek's house was second home to Renn and Michaela growing up!
Clark Calnan

Clark being an only-child, Derek was as much brother as friend and second son to Clark's parents (the favourite child in fact - they won't deny it). Between making movies, drinking at the lake and off-roading at Cinque Terre, Clark and Derek have a pretty solid friendship.
Jacqueline Steele

Jacqueline and Michaela met through the Dalhousie Swim Team and have been friends since 2010. When many of their mutual friends moved away from Halifax, Michaela and Jacqueline became entirely co-dependent and gradually morphed into the same person with a mutual love for trash reality TV and Marshall's. Jacqueline and Michaela are travel buddies, prosecco-sharers, fitness partners, and are glued together most weekends.
Colin Sonnichsen
Wedding Planner
Colin is Derek's oldest brother and laser physicist. Colin had to suffer having Derek as an argumentative and energetic younger brother and deserves a medal for this. Colin is the most easy-going, intelligent and caring baffoon you will ever meet - his wife Caroline also rocks. Unfortunately, Colin and Caroline's dog Larry has no time of day for our dog Gary Jr. but we make it work.
Mary Claire Lynch

Michaela and Derek befriended Mary Claire in 2010 through the Dalhousie Swim Team, and Michaela and Mary Claire lived together for 4 years. Mary Claire is the self-proclaimed resident of Michaela and Derek's spare bedroom and she has the honour of being the most featured person in the photos decorating their home. If Michaela and Derek had their way, Mary Claire would live next door and come over to watch Survivor every Wednesday night for the rest of time.
Brett Sonnichsen
Father of the Bride
Derek's youngest brother and dearest person to quote movies and TV shows with. Brett wears many hats in Derek's life: tennis partner, squash partner, one on one drinking buddy and debate partner. Brett is a legend at board games and trivial knowledge and will be bringing Ariel, his totally rad Californian girlfriend.
Renn Nichols
Brother
Renn Nichols is the honoured brother of Michaela and also, undoubtedly, the cooler sibling. Renn and his girlfriend Brooke will be travelling from Toronto to join in the celebrations.
Gary Jr.
Honor Attendant
Gary Jr.: the girl dog named after Derek's father. She won't be present throughout the wedding weekend activities but, an honourable mention on the wedding website was required.
