Travel Note
Wherever you stay, we recommend that you book your accommodations soon: June is a popular month for visitors to Providence, and it turns out that a major scientific conference will be starting in Providence on the same day as our wedding. Because parking is limited on the East Side of Providence, we suggest using rideshare services to get about, or simply enjoying our wonderful city on foot!
Hotel
This is a lovely boutique hotel in downtown Providence. It's also close to our venue! If you're up for a walk, it's about 25 minutes by foot (with a steep hill). We've secured a discounted rate; please book directly on the hotel's website (click "view") and enter the discount code MCCLEARYSTEIN
Hotel
The Hilton Garden Inn Providence is located on the East Side of Providence across a street from India Point Park and about one mile away from the Lippitt House Museum. It's also next to the start of the East Bay Bike Path.
Hotel
We highly recommend the Dean Hotel in downtown Providence. It's a funky boutique hotel with an excellent coffee shop on site, as well as one of the best cocktail bars in Providence, the Magdalenae Room.
House Or Rental
There are many rooms, apartments, and houses for short term rent in Providence. Look in the areas around Brown University, including College Hill and Wayland, and in Federal Hill on the West Side of Providence.
Flight
This is the closest airport to Providence -- an easy 15-minute ride to downtown. You can either use rideshare services or take public transportation.
Flight
While flying into Providence is convenient, it can be difficult to find flights into T.F. Green from certain locations. You may also fly into Boston Logan, which is an hour away from Providence. We suggest taking the train between Boston and Providence; the journey is about 1.5 hours, including the bus connection to Logan Airport. You may also choose to take rideshare services (fare estimate: $80).
Train
To get from either T.F. Green Airport or Logan Airport to your hotel in Providence via public transportation, the Providence-Stoughton line of the MBTA Commuter Rail is the place to start! https://www.mbta.com/schedules/CR-Providence/timetable. From Logan Airport, either take the MBTA Silver Line to South Station, the Blue and Orange subway (T) lines to Back Bay Station, or the Logan Express bus service to Back Bay Station to catch the train. The MBTA stops at T.F. Green Airport; the signage is not the best, so ask to be pointed in the direction of the station. Also note that the MBTA only services T.F. Green on weekdays.
Train
Amtrak offers fast train service between Providence (PVD) and Boston's Back Bay (BBY) and South Station (BOS).
