Portland is an amazing city for food and beer. Get out and enjoy it! If you want to tack on a few extra days to your trip, we highly suggest spending those at Acadia National Park, which is about a 3.5 hour drive northeast of Portland. If you need any additional recommendations or have any questions let us know.

If the weather is nice, take the 15 minute drive to Old Orchard. There are rides for the kids at the far end, along with Pier Fries (so good!) and pizza. A favorite spot for our family vacations!

Portland, ME

Take a 20 minute ferry ride from Portland to Peaks Island. Rent bikes or a golf cart and explore the island (it's about four miles around, but plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the views and take photos. If you go on Sunday, you have to hit up Reggae Sunday at Harbor View at Jones Landing. We went in July when we went up to Maine for our tasting, and it's a super fun day! https://www.cascobaylines.com/islands/peaks-island-maine/

For all the days along the way
