Due to the popularity of wine country, hotels have a wide range of prices year round. We were unable to secure a hotel block that was going to be reasonable price (under $400 per night), so we really recommend you use Kayak.com (or Expedia.com, Booking.com, Priceline.com, etc) to review room rates. Daily we were finding different prices. Some will give you a price break when you're booking an extended state of 3 nights or more, so it's really best to put in your date range and see what comes up. We recommend if there's anywhere you can have a short notice cancellation fees to be best the best in case you find another deal in the meantime.
Absolutely! Please do. Send a facebook message, text or get our email (not posting here to avoid spam).
Plan a one hour drive. Depending on the time of day your flight gets in, it could be longer. It just depends on the traffic. Fridays traffic tends to be a lot heavier, so be prepared if you fly in then.
When you drive to Sonoma heading from the airport go over the Golden Gate Bridge. It's a gorgeous site! On the way home, we suggest you take the Oakland Bridge to avoid the hefty $50 toll. The Oakland Bridge is generally $5. Sorry mid-westerners, they don't accept the iPass in Cali!
